Dr. Remillard was consistently running behind schedule for appointments and seemed to not take patients’ symptoms seriously.

My wife has been dealing with a lump near her salivary glands for almost a year and has seen him twice so far.

His initial diagnosis was to drink lemon water in hopes of clearing a possible blockage in the salivary glands.
My wife followed his advice diligently for several months after her first visit.

However, after a few months, the lump remained unchanged in size and was still present.

Her follow-up visit with Dr. Remillard was nothing short of disappointing. Once again, he was running over an hour late. When my wife finally saw him, the consultation lasted less than five minutes.

It felt like he didn’t take her condition seriously and simply repeated the same diagnosis.

He’s become known to us as the “lemon water specialist” in town.

After reading other reviews, I realized our experience wasn't unique—many others have faced similar frustrations with Dr. Remillard.

Fortunately, there is another specialist in Campbell River, and we’ve decided to go there instead.

If your doctor refers you to Dr. Remillard, I strongly recommend asking for a referral to the other specialist. It seems many people, including my wife, have unfortunately wasted their time with him.

It was an complete waste of my time speaking with Andrew. He was rude, didn't listen to anything I said, and the only effort he invested was to gaslight me. He clearly had no interest in helping me right from the start. Instead, he seemed annoyed at having to deal with another patient. If you're looking for someone who actually cares enough to help you, steer clear of him and go out of town instead.

I was not surprised this Dr. has such a low rating. He was completely uninterested in my issue and made zero attempt to fully examine me. After months and month of waiting for an appointment I was given a very poor exam, lack of interest and sent away with absolutely nothing. I'd give 0 stars if it were an option.

I was very disappointed with the way I was treated by Dr. Remillard. I suffer from a very severe gag reflex and asked if there was any method to do a scope of my esophagus other than without anesthesia. He insisted that he could proceed, stating that he had seldom encountered difficulties. I reluctantly allowed him to try but was completely unable to proceed. I felt I had no options and my difficulties have not bee resolved.

After reading all these reviews, I didn't expect too much, but what happened was much worse than anything I could have imagined. I had to wait 25 min. before the door opened and I was invited in. No other patient came out and so I don't know why I had to wait. I was told to sit down. Dr. Remillard looked in one ear, then the other. That took maximum one minute. He asked me if I wear hearing aids. He looked at my chart and told me if I notice my right ear getting worse to come back. Four minutes passed max. Since before seeing him I had to fill up a form about neck and post nasal drip, which I do have, and since only about 3-4 min passed, I asked if he has any advise about that. He told me, since my doctor sent me to him about ear, he can't answer this question. I imagined that I could have at least 10-15 min. for this appointment and was shocked, he wouldn't answer any other concern I had. Getting paid for 4 min. a specialist's fee, not bad, for him. It's beyond me how he can make proper diagnosis in 3 min., which he actually didn't make. Do yourself a favor and ask your doctor to refer you to Campbell River, ENT there seems to have good reviews.

I saw Dr. Remillard a year ago after several months wait for debilitating symptoms. My naturopath I was seeing suggested I also get assessed by the new ENT specialist in town. Dr. Remillard was late the appointment that I left work to attend. As others stated he was not friendly, personable or compassionate at all. When he asked me to rate my symptoms I did, and explained that they were significantly better the last couple months (since working with my naturopath), but prior to that they had been getting worse over my whole adult life. I did so to provide clarity and transparency about what I had been experiencing, not to argue or compare western medicine vs naturopathy.. I was there for his help and professional opinion after all. As soon as I mentioned naturopath, he spent the rest of the appointment going off about how they know nothing about allergies or immune system struggles, how I was wasting my time and money etc. He told me he guarantees it was a total coincidence I had been feeling better and that he knows I will feel like crap again soon. I listened and didn't argue but he provided no solutions and just kept ranting at me about naturopathic Drs. Very ironic since the Naturopath is the one who suggested I see him too.. As I was leaving he followed me to the door and said again "Yep, you WILL feel terrible again soon, I would bet money on it".

I've waited a year to write this review so that I wouldn't be doing so heated, and to confirm the treatment my naturopath has offered was indeed working. I have finally experienced relief of all the symptoms I was experiencing at a rapidly worsening rate my whole adult life. My naturopath has listened and offered countless solutions, dug into issues I didn't even think to bring up but were all connected and I can honestly say I've never felt better. He's also referred and suggested many other practitioners that could benefit me and my health, not just this awful ENT. Dr. Remillard was wrong. It was not a coincidence and I still feel better than I have in a decade despite his rant.

For someone who specializes in nose issues and surgeries he sure didn't act professional or provide any solutions whatsoever. I left feeling so discouraged by his comments and sad that I finally got in to see this new expert just for him to spend the whole appointment criticizing another health practitioner before kicking me out. I'm so grateful that I've received such spectacular care elsewhere and didn't have to rely on this pompous & inconsiderate man. I definitely wouldn't feel safe trusting him to operate on me, and would travel out of town in the future if I need to see an ENT.

After reading some of the reviews before my initial visit with Dr. Remillard I was apprehensive; however, I've had the opposite experience. He has been professional, kind and caring. He took the time to explain everything in detail and ensured that all of my questions were answered. He's been thorough in the diagnostics required and I look very forward to the much needed intervention to correct my sinus issue. Dr. Remillard is an excellent physician.
