I received a call from Janice M. Dewar. Based on my conversation, I am of the opinion that she lacked the competence to understand the certificates issued by/for our client that were provided to Janice for the transaction. Rather than try to understand the issue, she insisted that she "knows how sections work" and proceeded to call us stupid, saying "in all [her] years working in the Okanagan, [she] has never seen this kind of stupidity." I must say that have to agree. But of her for her general conduct, deceit, rudeness, and belligerence toward my staff. Janice Dewar is an extremely poor representative of the legal professional.

I have used Jan before and had a great experience as per my review below,

We had Jan complete the close of our property and it was very complicated with a few mistakes. (not on her end). She worked hard and did everything in her power to ensure there was no delays in closing. I would highly recommend her. Thanks again Jan. Sept 2021

So I reached out to Jan and Janet for another property. She said she should be able to fit us in. We had over 2 months. I called Janet left messages with no answer, I emailed 4 times with no answer. With about a month to go I could not wait any longer so I pulled it and went somewhere else. I am not sure why they could not respond if they no longer wanted to do the work. Oct 2022

I now understand why other comments on the review about their poor communication.

I changed to a 3 star because my first experience was a 5 star and the second experience was a 1 star. Average out 3 star.

I will not be using Jan in the future unfortunately

How can the website say three stars
We could at least talk to the office assistant but just try to get some communication with the lawyer - good luck.
After talking to the office we were told a call would be coming in two hours. Well, no phone call and silly us waited twelve days trying to make an appointment and some kind of communication but nothing even to this day which is now nineteen days.
Certainly don't recommend this company unless you have lots of time.
