I began seeing Dr. Shilo at Yinstill a couple of years ago. From day 1 she has made me feel like I am her only patient. Her genuine care for her patients is undeniable. The amount of time she spends outside of our appointments in follow-ups shows how dedicated she it. Her recommendations aren't general ones she offers to everyone rather she specifies her treatment plan to your needs. I have never seen so much progress in my physical, mental and emotional health. I have PCOS, Graves and other autoimmune diseases. I had pretty much accepted having poor health. Yin still and Dr. Shilo made me realize optimal health is possible. I wasn't able to conceive for almost a decade. Today my son is almost 2 months old. Healthy as can be. Our dreams of a family came true because of Dr. Shilo and Yinstill. Forever grateful for her expertise, knowledge, care, and attention.

I initially sought treatment at Yinstill in April 2014, just after my Graves disease diagnoses. Though my initial plan was to target infertility due to PCOS, once the Graves occurred I changed my course. Instead of focusing only on getting pregnant, I shifted my focus to my overall health. With the amazing experts at Yinstill I began unraveling decades of damage, trauma, stress, and bad habits. When I first had my free consultation with Dr. Shilo in the fall of 2015, I was immediately blown away by her genuine care, precise insight, and her vast wealth of research based holistic knowledge. Although I was very happy and felt very well taken care of at Yinstill, it wasn’t until Dr. Shilo joined the team that I felt complete in my care. She has both western and eastern medicine practices and always focuses on the root causes. She has helped both my husband and I in ways I never thought possible. After decades of trying various different exercises/programs only to lose interest and motivation quickly, Dr. Shilo’s recommendation of a specific exercise that she recommended based on her knowledge of me and my personality is something I finally truly love. I never ever thought I would enjoy moving, sweating, building strength and endurance. Dr. Shilo has changed the way I think about my health. She encourages mindfulness, movement, nutrition, past trauma, and stress care. I could go on and on and I still will not be able to put in words just how much of a positive effect Dr. Shilo has had on my life. I am still on my healing journey. I have lost 45+ pounds to date, my Graves is getting better, my menstrual cycles are getting on track, I am managing stress so much better, I am healing past traumas, I am exercising regularly and am changing my body and life for the better. I truly believed I was just destined to have bad health for the rest of my life and it wasn’t until Yinstill that I realized this is the furthest from the truth. I know I will achieve optimal health and once I’m there, we will start our family.

I went to Dr. Shilo at first because she came very highly recommended by a friend. I saw her initially to take control of my general health and for a shoulder problem I was having for about 6 months.
I had seen a physio, a acupuncturist, and a massage therapist... and none of them could solve my shoulder pain(I swear I was compliant with my exercises!)... and boom, four Bowen treatments and my shoulder is all better.
Since then I have thoroughly enjoyed her immense amount of knowledge, her pleasant bedside manor, and her ongoing commitment to my health.
I have since recommended her to many friends who have all echoed my sentiments and appreciated the introduction.
Do yourself a favour and visit her today. She is a spectacular Naturopathic doctor and Primary Care Physician.

Dr. Shilo is truly a healer. She is kind, patient, and will talk with you to help you find what is best for you. Since starting to see her, I feel better, can see changes in my body, and my running times have increased greatly!
