This is not an exaggeration; probably one of my best shopping experiences in life, best customer service ever. Recently there, I asked Darlene if they had X and Y. She went straight into the back and brought me exactly what I was looking for. The items were not out on the floor currently, so I really appreciated that. And she's done this multiple times. Maybe the best experience, though, was when I bought a large cabinet. Linda tried to help me fit it into my car's trunk. It wouldn't fit, so she went right back into Restore and asked all the shoppers if one of them had a truck and would be willing to transport it for me!! Guy came out, helped me load it, and the delivery was done, and with many thanks. This kind of positive experience is almost unheard of. So, big thanks to the people of Vernon Restore.

I would give a 5 Star if there was more reasonable prices for sure, the building is nice and clean easy to access and some of the staff are pleasant, I give cash donations the couple of times I was in as it is going to a good cause. The one thing that has set me back was the response I got on asking about some tiles, there were 5 tiles no price on them and would have been able to use them on a small impractical project, as there was only the 5 tiles there is no likely practical use of them for many projects, they were plane no polish surfaces but a simple tile. When I asked was told 25 dollars 😲 I sed okay it was a bit off from the price I was willing to pay and the best price I could be given was 15 dollars, I was truly thinking 6 bucks. I was then going to put them back on the shelf and over hear that I'm sed to be cheap lol. I previously bought some significantly over priced 2x12 at 4 feet long but got a good price on some unmarked aluminum bracing, so I was happy to let go the price on the wood. There are some tools about 15 to 20 years old that are by fare overpriced and several other items and I don't see this being much of a saving for the store it is sed to be. That being sed I did find several other employees to be friendly and pleasant and there are some things that one can get a deal on. Perhaps my review will change in the future but for now if I want wood or tile I'll just go to Rona or home Depot and a vast amount of tools at a better price on marketplace Facebook.

I love this place. I was able to replace most of my doorknobs for 1/4 of retail price. Like any second hand store, you gotta check frequently but if you aren't in a rush to do your renos, it's a great option. Plus it's easily the cheapest place in town for pull knobs. 👍

Two ladies in front get the reward of poor service. I and another had a basket full, and purchased two larger items. We were given a card for a guy that charged $60 plus for delivery. We were ignored and they took other customers that just came in. We waited to ask for two small filing cabinets to be brought outside which were put sideways on the slanted entrance blocking a lady from getting out of her vehicle.Thankful to the gentleman who brought out the other one at the bottom of the slanted entrance where the sign is. I bought a small photo on a plastic stand, the lady put it on the counter and said I can go to dollarama for one. For over $190 purchase, they could not be bothered to be nice or get someone that could move around a dolly with a small filing cabinet. And not making a big scene that it was a large full sized washer. Not interested in going back in if they are there. I don't appreciate being treated like garbage right away, especially if my elder guest and I were nothing but nice.

Was told about this place when we needed a sink for our bathroom. We also found the dog supplements so my dogs have been enjoying it. The lady at the cash register was careful to tell us that they are supplements and not treats and to follow the weight requirements. We did know, but we were appreciative she did that. We just installed the sink today and are happy we could find one at that awesome price. Plus, Habitat for Humanity is a great initiative.
