Encore merci d'ailleurs !

Waiting 12+ hours in the ER isn’t okay. Not everyone is seriously sick—sometimes it’s the only option. Hospitals should let stable patients go home and just call or text when it’s their turn. It’s safer, more comfortable, and reduces overcrowding. Simple changes like this would make a huge difference.

Absolutely terrible I was one of the first people there 7:30 this morning. They put everyone else ahead of me and I gave up after 9 hours of waiting to get treated. Don’t waste your time go elsewhere this place doesn’t care about you and just lets you suffer.

I couldn't even believe what happened. My nephew fell and broke his wrist while he was in Cambelton. He went to this hospital and THEY TURNED HIM AWAY because he didn't have the physical copy of his Medicare card with him , only a photo of it... he had to leave and drive himself all the way back to miramichi hospital with a broken freaking wrist. What kind of a hospital does that? You people should be ashamed of yourselves. I wouldn't even give this hospital a 1 star..

Went there around 3:30pm on Saturday, and was seen by doctors at 6pm and left around 6:20pm. So within 3 hours I got my check up and left with prescription. Dr Dufour ( sorry if mispronounced) was very kind and good at explaining his findings and discussing possible treatments and need for referral. Even the intake nurse and Nurse Joliene who assisted the doctor were both very nice, including the admin staff.
Now I have been to emergency care on Ontario and Quebec side several times and my experience there has always been the worst, waiting times can be anywhere from 9 to 15+ hours and once even had to leave without seeing a doctor as I couldn’t wait no more and was freezing in those gowns and they just put me in 1 room and basically forgot for 5 hours.
So in nutshell, am sure some days are more difficult and busy for the hospital staff and they can’t see everyone right away and wait times are long accordingly, however I didn’t notice any lack of compassion or care from hospital staff, they all did their job quite well and deserve a good feedback.

I can say the nurse that triaged me was very quick, kind and patient as a new mom whos nearing labour having to travel out an hour is scary especially when you dont know labour symptoms. So we went to the ER to have it assesed just incase it was something else. The nurse, never got his name who was in the room was ignorant. My fiance was baffled about what he had said it was in french and i dont speak french but under stand it. He said that i was wasting their time etc basically and was extremely rude about it.
The nurse who triaged me was a sweet heart and helped monitor me, i got sent to bathurst by ambulance which made me feel safer ultimatley being in pain and not being sure of what was going on.

Unfourtunatley while i was being followed in campbellton during pregnacy i felt completley neglected. Being told nothing about me or my babies health the entire time and only learning things when i got to bathurst at 32 weeks!! Dr neglected to ever print out information about my 20 week anatomy scan which the ultrasound tech ruled that my baby could have a possible cleft lip and the drs from 20 weeks until 31 weeks told me nothing. I had no clue about that until we got to bathurst. They just wanted to get rid of me it felt like in campbellton and not knowing really anything about pregnacy as a first time mom it was a scary thing to learn ablut 12 weeks later. Absolutley unacceptable. I made a formal complaint in may and have yet to hear back from the board but figured id let other expecting new moms to always check and ask if they dont bring it up because 100% they will not bring it up if you dont ask.
