BE AWARE!

Our experience here was awful! Our son came home with severe diaper rashes, to the point of getting ulcers at 3yrs old, due to lack of changing and toileting (left up to 3 hrs unchanged according to their bright wheel app). When an ulcer started forming on my child’s back side and I complained to their head office, they finally implemented a toileting schedule, instead of leaving him for up to 3 hrs not going to the toilet or being changed. They were told he was potty training when we first started. The staff are not equipped to deal with behaviours of any type and the looming threat of your child being sent home on the bright wheel app was awful. Multiple other parents confirmed the same challenges. I had the manager come to the door to tell me she felt they were doing every thing right, but it was the child that was defiant and difficult, even after causing severe toileting trauma from lack of toileting and changing to the point of blood, blisters and an ulcer forming and severe behaviours around toileting due to the severity of pain he was in. I had to take a week off work to heal the mess they made (still being charged for the daycare during this time). The more my husband and I had to advocate for better care of our child, the more staff became more frusterated to the point they sent us a notice stating they cannot care for the child’s needs and are terminating us out of their care due to lack of caregiver/parent trust, due to our phoning head office. We have pictures of the damage he came home with as staff would deflect and say he came with the redness or that he must have just done that. Be aware before you go, make sure your ok with young girls caring for your child that don’t have enough training on how to do deal with toddlers. There is also a my body my choice policy that head office and daycare staff seem to not be remotely in the same ball park about, this caused us grave concern when it came to the health and safety of our child.

In all my experience with Daycare's this one from Staff to Management is very unprofessional and has no solutions to typical child behaviours, you just get deflections and finger pointing. This attitude creates huge safety issues and we experienced a lot of them. ILM staff take no accountability for their actions and when you need to call the Management team for assistance they assure you they will look into the issue but don’t follow through. On November 5th I was told by Management that they would look into our concerns and get back to me the same day she stated she appreciated our efforts in getting on the same page, then they called my wife and stated they needed to have a call with her, she did not receive the call, then the next day they terminated our services.

Wonderful day care centre! Helped my 18 month boy transition to full time day care so much! Lots of cuddles from them and wonderful updates when he is having fun! Great communication too. My boy has bonded so nicely with the staff there now and is happy to go to daycare.

Hesitant to write review based on ILM'S unprofessional replies and lack of accountability. My child was enrolled in their facility for 4 months and we had nothing but issues. I agree with others that communication was disorganized and information inconsistent, staff didn't follow their own policies at times regarding injuries and drop off times etc, overly strict illness policy keeps parents from making a working wage and staff was overwhelmed easily asking often for early pickups. I was disappointed in our experience and after talking to other parents in the community I know I'm not alone. I feel since daycare availability is low, facilities like this can get away with running their business for themselves and not for the kids. I don't wish our experience on any other parent.

Unfortunately we had a bad experience with this day care. The management is extremely unprofessional and lacks good communication skills. The level of care for our boys was not up to my standards sadly. My child one day was wearing no underwear and someone else’s pants meanwhile his backpack was equipped with extra clothing items. My contract was threatened many times based off of information the staff took from my 2.5 year old. I have never been more disappointed in a day care facility in my life. I have never left a bad review for anything in my life but felt compelled to share this as I knew many families who felt the same way.

Leaving ILM was the best decision we ever made for our child. This organization seemed far more focused on expanding their business than providing good service to families. Very poor communication, no connection or interaction between parents and caregivers, an overly strict illness policy that encouraged parents to not disclose illnesses, and a yard with little shade in the summer so our child was always overheated. We didn’t feel as though proper potty training supports were provided, and despite multiple requests not to, staff insisted that our child nap during the day, making our evenings far more difficult on daycare days. Our new daycare in comparison has provided incredible service and communication, and our child is excited to go to daycare every day unlike with ILM.

Our family was very excited for the Pipers location to open up. Unfortunately from the day we started it was extremely chaotic and disorganized. There was no consistency with staff and a lack there of.

I ended up pulling out my son due to a very irrational sick policy where apparently a runny nose after playing outside was grounds to be sent home. Many other families at this facility had the same issue. When I tried to have a conversation with staff about this, there was no critical thinking regarding their policy. I then tried to speak with the owner refused to have phone conversation.

It is very unfortunate there are so few options for working families. However I would definitely not recommend this one.

We have been with ILM for 3 ish years. We have had a positive experience, our kids teachers communicate really well over the app! Our kids come home happy and tuckered out which makes us happy. They do a lot of art and outdoor play which we appreciate. The staff is all wonderful and many staff go above and beyond which is awesome!
