Island Mediquip

I broke my ankle and was disabled for 3 months. I couldn’t walk without the use of crutches. The knee scooter from medi-quip allowed me the freedom to get around without using crutches. Renting was also affordable and staff was friendly and knowledgeable.

Professional, friendly staff. They had all the equipment we needed for our elderly mother. We rented and ultimately purchased a lift chair and toilet seat riser, and rented floor to ceiling poles to help Mom get out of bed using her grip on the pole. These items were delivered and installed and ended being a great help. I would not hesitate to recommend them.

Super disappointed with the response time with this company. I’ve called multiple times since last Friday. I’ve spoken to people and they sound compassionate, I leave my name and number and say they’ll get back to me right away and yet I haven’t heard back. I try to follow up but only getting the answering machine. My son broke his ankle two days before spring break and all I want is a knee scooter so I can ensure he enjoys our two weeks off. Update *I received a voicemail after posting this regarding my situation. I still stand by my disappointment in the lack of communication I received from this company. A simple “we’re looking into it” would have been ample. I also understand that due to high demand of knee scooters in the valley they do not have any. I was grateful to find one with another company that easily accommodated our needs.*

We mostly have dealt with Jessica and Myles. Immediately upon entering the store you are greeted by the ever so friendly Jessica. She is so happy and kind when she greets you, and remembers you by name and face. She concerns herself with her clients, and will remember things like how you were doing the last time you came in etc. She treats you like a great friend, and her customer service is out of this world. Myles is the wheelchair sales rep, he's just as awesome, will do house trips or in store trips! Listens and doesn't push you into anything. Will happily try to accommodate you and works within your means, my occupational therapist suggested the store (which we were using anyways), and he works close with your OT to make sure that you are getting exactly what you need! You never feel like just an other sale or number, he's willing to work with you and do adjustments as needed. Calls to make sure the demo is going well, and is generally a great person. I'd sugest Island Mediquip to anyone who needs it, they're island operate which is awesome.
