Extremely unhappy with sales person. If I could give zero stars I would.
Months ago I sent an email inquiring about an attachment for my tractor, in my email I included the model of tractor I had, he sent me a quote (in a separate email) for a different model and told me the one I asked about did not work as well as expected in certain soils. Given that I have clay, I was happy to have a quote for one that works better.
Later I emailed again asking if the quote was still valid, for the part he had recommended (I used the same email chain as earlier for easy reference). He said yes, and my husband went to pick it up.
My husband got there, he had the model I had originally inquired about ready to go, not the one I was quoted for that would work better at more difficult soils. So my husband questions, and he says the gear box is the exact same and the size of this one is more appropriate for the tractor I have, which he knew what I had from my very first email.
He says both are the same price, which I call bulls. My husband takes him for his word.
My husband tells me what happened. I get mad, I call and to explain the situation I gave dates to emails and was quoting them. He tells me to stop yelling, I say I am not, and this goes back and forth, I was not yelling, I was using the exact same tone of voice I use when NOT yelling. I think he did not want to talk about this and would not let me speak by saying I was yelling 7-10 times, while I was not yelling, just avoiding conversation non stop. I event asked my husband after the call if I didn't notice that I was yelling, he said I was not yelling until the very end. At the end I did yell, just so he knows the difference between a normal tone and yelling. I think he basically just did not want me to continue to speak about this situation where he LIED to me and my husband.
I hung up, because I didn't think he would let me speak and would have kept going with the bull yelling thing (which I was not), and my husband had informed me he was rude in person.
I checked the land pride website for the specs and turns out the gear box is NOT the same for the two models.
Never buying anything there again.
I'm not right for yelling at the end before I hung up, and I'm sorry for that. But avoiding having a conversation by repeating something that is not true many times is extremely annoying. Let people speak. Having difficult conversations is better than a bad review in my opinion, but I guess this is what it's preferred.

I was sent to Island Tractor in Duncan BC to retrieve 6 utility trailers that s 3rd party trucking company delivered to Duncan BC instead of Creston BC. The staff was very friendly and had the trailers loaded up on me in no time at all. Speaking from a consumer's point of view this place is nicely stocked with all kinds of equipment for your small business or farm. Definitely a great local business from the community of Duncan!!!

I've never been to your place of business nor will I ever or even recommend it. Tonight I witnessed the most disgusting behavior from someone driving one of your vehicles with you name on it. There was traffic and all they did was sit behind cars and drive behind them honking. Downtown city traffic back to back you aren't getting anywhere faster by acting like that.

I placed an order for a chipper shredder complete with a deposit in January with the salesman Scott. At that time I was told it would be thirteen weeks before the equipment arrived. More than thirteen weeks later I called to see if it was there and Scott couldn’t even remember speaking to me or taking my money. Needless to say the chipper shredder wasn’t there. It hadn’t been ordered. Scott then said he checked other dealers and he would have one there by the end of the week. Two weeks later I again called to see if it was in, it wasn’t. Scott then was going to check it out and call me back. Again, I called when I hadn’t heard from him and he told me that it was coming from Calgary. I asked what the holdup had been and was informed that they hadn’t made any payment arrangements with the other dealer. I’m told now that they have given the other dealer a credit card payment and the chipper shredder will be here next week. Scott has not ever called me back to keep me informed. If the machine isn’t here by next week; me and my money are going elsewhere. I deliberately wanted to buy on the island to keep my money at home, next time I’ll call a business that wants my business. I wish I was able to rate less than one star

I was in the middle of bailing my filed and needed some twine so I headed to the store and this was Saturday and they close at 1pm it was 1:35 when I got to the store. Not only did they open back up to sell me the twine they did it happily !!! Thank you so much ! Farmers helping farmers !! Life savers !!

Sales guy in back got pissy with me about wanting a new excuvator says i dont need that size , then says i cant run a 72 inch clean up bucket on my skid steer, even if i usef it for sawdust, seems every time i come in he hasnt had his coffee amd pushes guys out door, id take ur buesnes else where, over priced by far also

I had really great service from Island Tractor today and I am so happy with the great response that i'll take the time to leave a review! Spoke with Murray in parts at 11am and even though all 4 techs were booked, he had a guy out to my house in Chemainus by 3 that afternoon. The technician, Eric, went right to work and then took the time to explain what the issue was, how he fixed it and what to keep an eye on. Keep up the great work lads! Thanks again.
