The nurses plus Doctor Millinies here saved my life all of them but I have to mention Carly, Cassy, Braden and Leslie the social worker were awesome. If I missed anyone who thought well of me I'm sorry not the best memory. 5th floor

Came in for Afib at 7:15am and was out at 9:15am. The triage staff where kind and eager to help. The nursing staff was also kind and the team work very efficiently together. Jeffery the ER was a 26 year veteran at the hospital was understanding and got the cardio conversion started right away. I would like to give my thanks to everyone involved today with my Afib cardio conversation. I hope other patients experience. Great caring professionals here. Again thank you. I and my little family appreciate all that you all do.

I was taken by ambulance to the ER with extreme back pain that was intolerable. I was assessed quickly and given Xrays. They gave me a Tylenol and sent me on my way barely able to walk. The pain was and is still excruciating and I went to Penticton Hospital (they are amazing) and got more Xrays. They immediately asked me how I got the broken back. Huh? Broken back? The Kelowna ER saw it on the Xray but neglected to inform me. Over a year later and I am still in extreme pain and with no family doctor for 13 years, I don't know how much more I can take. I guess Canada can't brag to the world on how great their healthcare system is anymore. I should clarify that the staff was great. I just think there should have been a follow up and I should have been told that I have a broken back so I could avoid further injury and possible paralysis.

KGH emergency is a complete joke!! Doctors & nurses are uneducated. They give ppl addicting drugs like candy, hydromorphine etc but refuse patients IV fluids. Most of the time they don't know what is wrong with their patient so they just give them prescriptions and tell their patient(s) if you dont feel good then come back. Your a freaking doctor for crying out loud. Keep testing until you find the root cause of the issue and fix it instead of offering a band aid fix like pharmaceuticals. I'm completely disgusted with the health care in this hospital.

I went for an Angiogram. Very professional people. The red heart team was comforting but stern. Stern for a reason. Much respect to all in this department. Thank you.

Well coming from someone who has had FAAAR to much experience with hospitals. We honestly have some of the nicest medical staff I've encountered. I've had four complete hip replacement surgeries , shattered my pelvis, head trauma, had pancreatitis, reconstructed nose surgery 2 times, twenty pins in my upper thigh, pins in my wrist, and Actually maxed out on the amount of times a person can have a defibrillator used on them to revive them getting a paulse, so they had to jam a I.V. into my hart .So they can use adrenaline to bring me back. And that's just some of my terrible medical history. That being said, I feel I am qualified to give my opinion of our Kelowna Hospital compared to other Hospitals. Actually the day before yesterday I received my second hernia surgery at KGH. So I have some more mesh to add to my collection.lol. The staff in the recovery room were second to none. By far my worst experience was at Royal Columbian Hospital.Just thank yr lucky stars you don't live near there, and we have KGH. With there amazing surgeons(like Dr Wilson) and staff. Keep up the good work. Your compassion is felt by thousands . We thank you..
P.S. my butt still hangs out of these darn gowns/potential streaker appearal;)

I took my husband to the ER with an obviously broken ankle. The triage nurse informed us that they were short-staffed and the emergency room was packed. Aware of the healthcare crisis in Canada, we brought our own pain meds, snacks, and other essentials, expecting a long wait.

Despite the crowded ER, the staff efficiently managed the triage system. It took about five hours for my husband to see a doctor. After the initial consult, he was grateful to receive stronger pain medication and was sent for x-rays. Within two hours of seeing the doctor, they reviewed the images and assembled a team to reset the dislocation. My husband was admitted for surgery the following day. He spent about 9 hours in the ER.

Despite the nationwide crisis with wait times and staffing shortages, every staff member we encountered was professional, friendly, kind, and attentive, all while managing a significant workload. We couldn't have asked for better caregivers. Surgery went well, and my husband is now home recovering. Thank you to the entire team—you were all amazing!
