Dr Weise and the clinic he has created is saving so many lives! Everyone who is over 60 or has fair skin or has been in the sun unprotected with sunscreen SHOULD GO there once a year for the mapping treatment which detects possible skin cancer or actual skin cancer. I had a spot on my lip which was suspected cancer. Paid healthcare route was a 3 month wait to see someone during which time a person is stressed and if it’s cancer it grows! Dr Weise saw me within a week, removed it that day and Where is sent it for testing and it healed up perfectly.Luckily it was benign but I’ll be going yearly for mapping. There is a a cost but considering it can save your life it is very reasonable.
Everyone I met at this clinic is kind and professional and Dr. Wise was the attentive, caring and extremely reassuring. This clinic is an excellent example of how paid healthcare can support a very critical area of need in which our failing healthcare system is failing and early detection and treatment that saves lives is often not available. Thank you Dr Weise for all you do!

My family doctor detected a suspect growth which turned out to be third stage melanoma cancer. I had surgery.
She then recommended I get checked out regularly at the Kelowna Skin Cancer Clinic to prevent a reoccurrence. That was four years ago. Yesterday, I got a clean bill of health again.

Dr. Ben Wiese started as a family physician. This gives him an overall and reassuring view rather than the narrow variety some specialists have. The staff and Dr. Ben are pleasant and warm, a welcome feeling when dealing with anxiety. I always look forward to my visit.

I was extremely anxious leading up to my appointment and I voiced that upon meeting Dr. Ben. He was so kind, attentive and listened to me. I never felt rushed out of the room and he was so friendly. He seemed very knowledgeable and was able to ease my anxiety within my appointment. I would highly recommend him. Lucky are the people who know him outside of work, because I'm sure he's just as great outside of the office as he is as a doctor.

I saw Dr Lise Weise in June and was told that she would contact plastic surgeon as I have a bcc on my face that needs to be removed.
Contacted my family doctor a week ago and have just heard back that I am now on the PS list as of last week when we chased the dermatologist up. I am very disappointed with this as when I was leaving the office in June I specifically checked with her that she would contact the plastic surgeon and she said yes. Obviously she did not as I now have to wait another 4 months to be seen by plastic surgeon and meanwhile I wake up every morning with a pillowcase with blood on it.
Make sure she does her job if you see her!!

Dr. Wiese is an incredible doctor. He is caring, compassionate, and throughout with his exams. He provides up to date information and uses the latest technology to help with his assessments. He not only takes his time doing my exam and answering questions, but he is happy to discuss my Dad's case with me. My Dad was diagnosed with stage IV melanoma and thought he's not under the care of Dr. Ben, he is more than happy to answer questions about my Dad and was so compassionate and caring in regards to the situation.
