We highly recommend Kootenay Flooring. They pulled out the carpet and replaced with Vinyl Plank, they also framed in a den and added a door for us. Recently hired these guys to install some carpet in my basement. The installer cut a piece too small, and left me with a huge seam in the middle of the floor. When I phoned the owner to complain, I was very aggressively dismissed. Avoid!

Devin and Matt recently completed a fairly large house renovation including installing engineered flooring, floor tile, quartz kitchen and bathroom countertops, back splashes and building a custom glass shower. All work done exceeded our expectations.

It was very reassuring having the owner of this business (Devin) and his dad (Matt) actually on the tools, doing the work. Devin was the perfectionist and Matt had the experience to ensure a high-quality end product.

Throughout the process, Devin was very responsive to my questions and extremely patient with any last-minute changes. He also had excellent follow-up on some very minor issues after the project was done. Working with Kootenay Flooring was pleasant from beginning to end.

As long-time locals, my wife and I recommend Kootenay Flooring; we would certainly work with them again.

Such an awesome flooring company. We ordered hardwood from them and their prices are better than box stores! We were going to buy flooring from Calgary but decided to stop in to see what our options were. After talking to Devin and Matt and seeing how competitive their prices were we decided to order it from them instead. They delivered it right to our door for free and it arrived a week later.

EXCELLENT customer service (kindly allowed me to borrow a couple of flooring samples for several days 🙏) after articulatly explaining the differences between numerous flooring products. I was even more excited that they also do countertops AND blinds! They are my number one stop. And, THEY ARE LOCAL!!!!

The father and son Devin installed carpet for our condo unit and they were both professional and did everything possible to stick to our time line. Coming from Edmonton and wanting to get home on time worked well for us. Would highly recommend them.

If I could give these guys a zero, I would. Tried to work with them in 2021. Price wise they were competitive but trying to organize and schedule with them was a disaster. I think its reasonable to get an estimate of when the job with start prior to giving a deposit. Getting an estimated start date was near impossible. I asked if they could give me at least 2 weeks notice prior to installation and was told no. I was finally able to obtain where I was in the queue and a rough start time frame verbally (weather dependent). I provided local community rules (i.e. 20 km speed limit, working hours, take away garbage) and thanked them to telling me where I was in the queue. Instead of calling me, I was emailed and basically told that I asked too many questions and put too many demands on them and told me to find someone else to do the work. I am thankful I did. I found another vinyl decking supplier in Invermere and the experience was a complete 180. Prior to giving my deposit I had a start date (which they met) and it was a great experience. I would not recommend this company based the poor customer service experience I encountered.
