I just finished my third session of IPL and I absolutely love it. Kristy is very professional, knowledgeable and the salon has amazing costumer service. I would recommend having a consultation with her to address your concerns.
I was looking for a more even skin tone. The IPL treatments were very effective for me. I will definitely be going back with any other concerns about my skin.

I have been going to Luxia since it opened and everytime I go, I receive exceptional service. I have been to Amber a few times and she never disappoints! I have had cuts, colours and extensions. Kristy is extremely knowledgeable with skin care. I did a consultation with her and she put me on a regime. I have also done some facials and lasering.
My skin has never felt more healthier. I have sensitive skin due to my dermatographia and I was using tall the wrong products (not from this beauty bar) prior to seeing her. I have also had laser hair removal and it worked like a charm. I haven't received services from the other ladies yet but each time I see them they are polite and professional. I am always greeted with a smile.

Kristie is always welcoming and maintains a professional, clean, friendly environment!? Amber is the most Amazing hairdresser....truly one of the best I have ever had! She is kind, caring, compassionate and is talented beyond belief! I always leave with exactly what I wanted and then some! ? They are extremely knowledgeable about ALL their products and services...and even though I no longer live in Port Alberni...it is still my go to place for all my hair needs! You will not be disappointed!

I typically don't write reviews, but I just have to RAVE about the clinics laser Tech & LPN, Nurse Katy! This lady! With her knowledge & nursing background, the charismatic and professional approach, made my visits so much more enjoyable and smooth (Just like my skin, post treatment!?)!
I must admit i was a little nervous getting a laser treatment done, I had heard laser only works on some people & without Katy's exceptional knowledge on their equipment & her ability provide effective and safe laser treatments, I don't think I would have been comfortable trying! but i am so glad i did! Katy is always welcoming and upholds the salons professional, clean, friendly standards you would hope to see in a laser clinic!? She is extremely knowledgeable about ALL their products and services...You will not be disappointed! 100% recommend giving this place a try, you will not be disappointed!

Amber is my go to girl for my hair !! I have a very busy schedule and finding time isn't always easy for me to pamper myself. I have natural curley hair and a hell of a lot of it, so when I show up we both know she has her work cut out for her! But she always fits me in and makes me feel like new woman when I leave. She takes the time to get the cut right and the colour perfect everytime. I recommend her to people any chance I can.
I cant wait to have a visit with Kristy soon to pamper my skin next !! Having both in the same shop makes Luxia a definite perfect, and convenient beauty bar that will make anyone feel amazing when they step out. Thanks Ladies ?

After moving to Port Alberni in July of 2021, I was was extremely happy to have found a place that I can trust with all my skin care and hair needs.

Kristy is a wealth on knowledge when it comes to skin care! I had some concerns with Melasma. She set me up with a great skin care routine and a treatment plan. The results are unbelievable!

I absolutely love the ZO skin care line and have seen an incredible difference in my skin.

They also have Jane Iredale make-up Hands down the best mineral make-up and non sticky lip gloss!

My 16 year old daughter had skin issues as well. She suffered from extreme acne and scaring. Kristy set her up with her own skin care regime and treatments. After only 5 months she has barely any breakouts and they are starting to work on getting rid of her scaring.

I see Kayla for my hair. She does a great job also! I was a hairstylist/salon owner before moving here for 14 years. So it was nice to have found someone who understands how to do a great blonde!

Overall the staff are amazing and Kristy especially is a skin care guru
