We had a late a.m. apt at this office. We were coming from pitt meadows to mission and worried about being late so we gave a courtesy call. The horribly condescending receptionist named Jessica told us even if we were 5 mins late the doctor wouldnt see us. She convinced us that he needed to rebook his appointment and not to come if we were late then hung up.

We had been waiting for this appointment for 2 weeks. When had to call back FOUR TIMES (within 20 minutes) to get ahold of the receptionist to rebook the appointment. Jessica questioned why we weren't coming to the appointment at 11.30, conpletely oblivious to the fact she was the one who quilted us not to come. Then she threatened him with a no-show cancelation fee while she rebooked his appointment.

That woman clearly has to much control over the office and is able to feloniously triage patients via telephone without a medical degree. It seems she gets to dictate who gets to see the doctor and when without reprocussion
* Regularly the Dr's are running behind 20-60 mins the posted appointment time.
** I wouldve given 0 stars if this was an option because her customer service was so unprofessionally rude. I had to resort to box breathing the entire time I dealt with her.

Dr Gwen Siemens is an amazing doctor - however this MOA named Karen (classic) is the most awful person I have ever dealt with over the phone. The energy she brings immediately is ridiculously rude - I work customer service so I am always kind to start however she immediately turns it into a terrible experience every single time. She really should not be allowed to have any contact with the general public. I was hesitant to post a review however Reading through the other reviews I can tell that I am not the only one. I understand this is a clinic and they won’t fire someone for the odd bad customer service interaction but this is ridiculous. She must be a family member or something otherwise I am unsure how she has kept this job this long. I have first hand knowledge as well through my job that she shreds prescription faxes that come in rather than doing her job . On that note, there is another girl there (she sounds young I can’t remember her name) was so incredibly pleasant (she deserves a raise) I was hoping the other one was finally gone. But nope another terrible experience today.

Dr dueckman and dr theron are great, and very thorough. The waiting room could have had more thought and heat put in to it.

Edit: the staff are rude and snotty. I must have had a few temporary people the last two times I visited because I just got off the phone with one of the nastiest humans I've ever spoken to. I have screenshot of my confirmation text not being opened or replied to and she's saying I confirmed the appointment when I didnt. I also was not aware that it was an in-person appointment. If I had other options, I would go somewhere else.

I have been a patient here for several years now, and therefore have seen several rotations of front desk staff. Personally, i have seen the posts on indeed for their jobs and if i was getting paid that and didnt need any exoerience, i would not put my heart into it either, however... ...the staff presently are the best group i have seen in regards to patient care and coordination. Prior to 2023, the staff were extremely petulant and ignorant. It got to the point that i would only make apointments in person. This newer crew are far more productive, but you need to really advocate for yorself to get anything done. I understand the job is extremely mundane and repetative, but i have observed them for an accumulated 5 hours at least while waiting and it's like watching people trying to wade through jello.
I used to work in the hospital and this is care-aide behavior, not clerk behavior and its a direct result of almost zero incentive to enjoy their jobs. Give them a career and see how fast their outlook changes.

This office has great Dr's all very personable but the front desk girls are a different story. Not ever in my whole life have i had to deal with such rude bitchy people 1 lady in particular Karen I believe her name is when you have an additude like hers it would be a good idea to not let her answer the phone and maybe just keep her in the copy room.. if I could change office's I would just because of her.

We are very thankful that the clinic took us on as patients a number of years ago after our family GP died. Dr Bhatt has been very good given the number of medical problems my partner has - specialists have commented what good referrals he writes. Knowing how flexible we are re appointments etc, we have, in general, received treatments in a timely fashion.

I'd give 5 stars for Dr. Duekman, but only 2 overall for the clinic itself. I'm getting quite irritated that my pharmacy can't request refills for my medications. The receptionist literally toss those and never read them.
My medication hasn't changed, why can't my pharmacy request the refills? I can't get a damn appointment to even get refills. This is VERY NONEFFICIENT. I went on the ava app to book an appointment and Dr. Duekman is not available for either an in person or phone appointment for two weeks! I only have 6 tablets left. This is ridiculous. I can't even get a damn refill!!!!

My husband and I have been patients of Roger Young, NP, at this clinic for about a year. We have found the staff at this office to be friendly, helpful and professional. Even when I call on the phone, they are very friendly and attentive. Roger has also been better than any family doctor we've ever had. He is knowledgeable, thorough, and compassionate. He gets things done, whether it's prescribing regular medication, getting referrals done or making sure we have the tests and procedures we need. We are very happy with this clinic and grateful to have such wonderful people taking care of our family's healthcare needs.

The staff is polite and helpful when I call for an appointment. I had a medical issue in the office two weeks ago, and Jen calmly came to the rescue and moved me out of the waiting room, contacted my doctor and daughter-inlaw to prevent a trip to ER. Jen handled my medical issue professionally and with the upmost respect. Very grateful.
