Mortimer’s was commissioned by the Last Post Fund to create monuments for 4 veterans who did not have markers over their final resting place. It was important that these servicemen were to be properly recognized and that their memorial markers reflect the heritage status of Holy Trinity Cemetery. Mortimer’s did a fantastic job creating these markers to the specifications we asked for, matching these headstones to the existing veteran’s markers in the cemetery. JB did a great job ensuring that all were properly installed and would remain as permanent reminders of the sacrifices made by our veterans. Thank you for helping us honour them.

It was wonderful working with the staff at Mortimer's Monumental Works. They were kind and accommodating and made us feel welcomed and comfortable. The sand blasting of our mom's grave monument was perfect. We were very happy with the lettering and the beautiful roses and how quickly it was completed. Kerry and the staff at Mortimer's helped us to install a memorial stone and a welcome message in a public garden at my children's school. Our family came to Mortimer's with a double-grave marker design in mind for our parents, based on a walk-through of a local cemetery. Staff were compassionate and tactful in steering us away from our original ideas and towards one that would be more legible, durable and low-maintenance. Working with staff, we simplified our design and settled on military-grade granite with deep military font, and were very pleased with the outcome. On the day of interment, it was obvious that the text stood out very clearly compared to adjacent memorial stones in the family plot. On the death of our second parent, Mortimer's worked hard to remove the stone and have the final death date engraved in time for the interment so that family who had travelled for the ceremony could see the stone in place before returning home. We are grateful for their professional service, especially at a time of bereavement, and have no hesitation in recommending them.
