It took Motion over a year to replace an elevator that was rusted when installed in my new home. The new elevator has been nothing but more problems. It is still not operating properly and there are numerous other issues. I am still waiting for 5 problems that have not been resolved. The only thing that is positive is that I am able to take the stairs but shouldn't have to.

I called Motion Cares in Courtenay after the installer of my Mother's stairlift ifrom Victoria charged us excessively for travel time and yet failed to repair the problem. Phil responded immediately and demonstrated the utmost courtesy and excellent customer service while diagnosing and repairing the problem quickly and efficiently! Motion installed a new elevator in our new house and it was in terrible condition, rusted and scratched.
It also did not work properly for months after the install.
It took more than 1 year for them to install a new elevator which the job is still not completed satisfactorily.
Very poor follow up and follow through.

I have had the pleasure of being helped by Tamar several times now. She is so knowledgeable and understanding and will go the extra mile to help you find exactly what you need. I have purchased a lift chair through Motion and Tamar took the time to measure me and ensure that I got the correct size of chair and one that met all of my needs. The chair has been perfect for me and much better than the one I bought years ago for my mother. I have also purchased a stand up walker which provides much needed support for my back when I walk. Tamar took the time to once again determine my needs and wants and measurements and let me try out the different walkers several times, both in the shop and at home on my regular routes. She spent time going over the pros and cons of the models and there was no pressure on me to decide and purchase. I have also been able to take the walker back for minor adjustments. I have purchased several other small items, some suggested by Tamar for me and others that I have found myself. I would highly recommend this shop and their staff.

Bree has helped me several times over the last few years, she is very professional, kind, caring and thoughtful, whenever I have had a question she always knows the answer if not she will say she will check into it and get back to you, and she always does. She always makes sure I am able to try things out before I decide if it’s right for me, she knows I am on disability and I don’t have an income Bree goes out of her way to help me apply for different grants, she has never made me feel uncomfortable, she listens to all your questions and no question is unreasonable, when she says she’s coming, she always does. I think Motion is an amazing business, they are definitely in the right line of business, they definitely care about people and go out of there way to make you feel like you matter , I have been to other companies who are in the same line of work and they do not compare to motion , I’ve suggested Motion to other people struggling with health issues and they have all been very satisfied, thank you so much Motion you have made my life a lot easier and you have always come through for me.

I went to the store and made an apt for a scooter tech to come out and look at the scooter as it stopped working. The apt was made about a week and half layer for Wed 3:00. After waiting all day I received a phone call after 3:00 that the tech was unable to come out and the next available time was March 31st at 2 ( a week and a half later ). So it seems that although hours of operation are until 5 the hour and a half left of the day wasn't workable to do a battery check. So 3 weeks to get a tech to come our and look at the battery.
