I have had an ongoing refund request with the New Look Eyewear here in Prince George BC (Located in Pine Center Mall). I initially went and got a refund because the new glasses I got were cutting into my nose and were painful. They refused to exchange for a different pair (just offered a lens switch as I also had a new prescription) so I asked for a refund as they advertise it everywhere. They then refunded me the portion I paid OVER my insurance and told me that it would be about 6 weeks to refund the $500 to SUNLIFE. Which I had no issue with. They then told me that I was banned from ever purchasing glasses with them for myself, or my family and seeing as my entire family wears glasses was a blow. Which is a little extreme when the glasses I had literally made me bleed, and I would have been more than happy to exchange.

Time goes on and SunLife tells me that they mailed the letter regarding the overdraft payment on March 21 2025. New look here tells me they haven’t received it and Sunlife says they have sent other requests. However, I am getting frustrated. I contacted Sunlife again today and they gave me the information they require on the refund cheque to themselves the claim number and the OPID the amount and everything. I gave it to the local office and they advised they still needed the letter that’s been sent numerous times and yet somehow they still haven’t gotten it. I am getting very frustrated, and this does not seem ethical, or right. Sunlife is getting upset as well. I really hope you are able to help me move forward to resolve this. New look is ignoring my emails, and I have sent them to the [email protected] and received nothing. Never buy your glasses here, they will steal your money and keep the glasses

Terrible service, was helped by an employee named Cynthia and she wouldn’t stop talking and listen. Wouldn’t do the claim saying that because it was Monday if the claim was not approved she wouldn’t be able to reverse ,it will take days for her to fix it and she’ll get in trouble, she also said prescription sunglasses are not covered by blue cross after me telling her my wife got covered under same insurance, a colleague of her had to say from the distance that in effect they are covered. Instead of servicing she just argued and not helpful at all, no desire to help. Worst experience in optometrist, will keep going to savers and will never be back.
