I went to Options in October 2024 when my life was completely unmanageable. I couldn’t stop drinking, and honestly, I should have been dead. From the moment I arrived, I was treated with dignity and compassion. The staff loved me until I could start liking myself.

The centre was clean, the food was incredible, and both group sessions and one-on-one counselling were powerful parts of my healing. The staff, who are all in recovery themselves understood me in a way that made me feel seen and safe.

Options saved my life. I learned so much there, about boundaries, the difference between guilt and shame, the masks I wore, and how to rebuild from the inside out. I left with a strong morning routine that I still practice today.

Alumni visits gave me hope that long-term sobriety was possible. I’m forever grateful for the people at Options who prayed for me, believed in me, and helped me find the tools to live again.

This place is amazing, I was digging myself into a hole that was going to end badly. The counselors and support staff are great and come from a place of experience. Everyone here has your recovery in mind, however you need to do the work. The will help guide you and make you really look at yourself in a way you didn't think possible. If you are ready to find help I would strongly recommend Options. I am a very proud alumni and look forward to attending meetings with the group and sharing my experiences.

It's taken me far too long to write this review, it's well overdue.

Options was the only light of hope I had in my life. I was terrified to go, not entirely confident it would work, full of anxiety, lost and confused. But from the moment I stepped foot into Options, it felt like a home. I felt accepted for the very first time in my life. I was safe. I was cared about. Loved. Between Susie and Shirlee, I was able to get honest with myself, accountable, I began to truly heal. Recovery is no joke, it's hard work. But they helped me look forward to it, and helped me find my future again. The staff is inspiring, most have their own stories. And these are people I know are rooting for me and my success for the rest of my life. I genuinely give my heart to this place, as i wouldn't be where I am today without them.

The food was amazing, healthy, balanced.

The days are full, and although they are tiring and strict with structure, it really helps to set a healthy schedule and way of life for coming out of treatment.

It's not ALL hardwork. There is bonding, fun, laughter, down time and a comfortable room to re-energize. I tried yoga for the first time here.

This place is absolutely magical if given a chance. I do recommend following up with more cousnelling and other services post treatment, as this place got me on my feet but it's up to me to continue to do the hard work.

I am deeply grateful for their relentless dedication and compassion. If you are seeking a treatment center that combines expert care with heartfelt support, I highly recommend Options. I have been to several different treatment centres throughout my recovery journey. I can say confidently and without a doubt that this is hands down the best and most affective centre I have ever been to!

The morning groups, run by both counsellors Susie & Shirlee were by far the best part of the day. Everyday I learnt something that has continued to help me in my life today. It is one thing to read off a piece of paper and call it a group. But at Options they broke down addiction and I was able to finally put the pieces of myself, that I never understood, back together. I have never done such a thorough set of steps and the way the staff helped me navigate through my work, feelings and struggles, was so helpful. Our days were structured and I as an addict in recovery, I need healthy structure. Another amazing thing about Options is that it is a smaller centre. Most places I’ve been to, I’d see a counsellor a couple of times over the course of 30+ days. Here,
I got to meet with my counsellor regularly, and if I was struggling outside of those sessions, all I had to do was walk into the office and ask for help.
They supported me as I reunited with my family and they’ve gone out or their way to help them understand my disease.

You don’t go unnoticed or fly under the radar - it’s actually impossible because the setting is so intimate. We were all seen, all the time!

I could go on and on about the programming, good and setting but the most amazing part about Options is Shirlee and Susie. They didn’t just go to school, read a book and learn about addiction. They have lived experience, they reminded me that they’ve been exactly where I’ve been. So that combined with education made a huge impact - not to mention they both have over a decade of recovery each so they know what they’re talking about. They gave me hope that one day I could, also get clean and stay clean. Most places I’ve experienced have the mentality that you need to break you down to build you back up. These women don’t do that. They lead with love first, always.
Even if it was telling me the things I didn’t want to hear, that I had to work on.. It ALWAYS based on love. They can be tough but in the best way.

Options was the first place in a very long time that I actually felt safe. I was vulnerable, shared the ugliest and darkest parts of myself, the things I was so ashamed of and when I did.. they STILL loved me. To them I still mattered, I was still human and I still deserved an opportunity to live a life of recovery. All my fears of judgment went away.
For the first time in a long time, I felt loved. I am still so connected to this place, no matter how much time passes, it always feels like home.

Words can’t express the gratitude I have for Shirlee and Susie.

I am a daughter again, a sister and a friend again. I am clean and I am sober.
Today I have a real chance and today I matter.

Thank you for giving me the strength and courage to fight for myself and my life. Not too long ago I was playing Russian roulette and today I am free.
