It's been seven days since what would have been my son's 48th birthday. He was under the care of Dr. Khorasani when he passed.

My son, Seumas, told me he did not trust Dr. Khorasani but I maintained that was the surgeon he was given by his Gastroenterologist.

Seumas had severe ulcerative colitis and after 2 1/2 years of failed biologic treatment was convinced to be operated on three times with the goal being a 'j-pouch' (internal ileostomy bag). A decision he seriously regretted.

After the second operation he was in the hospital for 18 days and was dismissed while I believe he was still very ill.

He was bedridden and his external bag could not be connected properly to his body (stoma was convex not concave) Even the experts at his clinic could not attach it properly. They asked "what has the surgeon done to you?" It would burst or let go every day or two.

Seumas was also vomiting every day. It appeared the surgery had failed. We called the office pleading for admittance to hospital for weeks. No response. He could not get out of bed. I visited every day vainly trying to get some nutrition back in - potassium drinks, boost, and any real food he could get down. But I failed to save him and he passed away all alone in his apartment on Jan. 21st.

I never heard a word from his surgeon, Dr, Khorasani, like it never happened. Seumas was a kind, gentle, intelligent, funny soul and my best friend. The hole in my heart will never fill. I don't believe it should have happened or needed to. The system failed him and stole his future.

Dr Loomes and admin Mindy have literally saved my life, probably more than once. Dr Loomes is the best of the best in gastronomy doctors, I’ve had many. He’s patient with my anxieties and always up to date on the latest treatments and protocols. Mindy is so friendly and efficient - any office would be lucky to have her. Thank you team. I feel very safe in your care. We’re lucky to have this dedicated gastro facility in Victoria. Appreciate all the doctor, nurses & admins there big time.

Have rarely been as impressed with a Doc as I am with Dr Jovanovic. Communication was timely and thorough from the beginning. Because I have significant attendant health issues, Dr Jovanovic was cautious to make sure the procedure could be done as safely as possible. On the day, he was professional and communicated appropriately. His attention--and concentration--remained on the work, which to me indicates respect for my health above all else. Post-procedure, Dr Jovanovic followed up thoroughly with early evening calls and was highly responsive to my questions. Never been treated so well by a Doctor.

As with many many British Columbians and Victorians, my wife and I do not have a family doctor. I'm lucky enough that through my work we are provided a free online medical service that can do referrals. My wife had some serious medical events that brought her to the ER which ended with a request to have specialist appointment and procedure. We made an appt with the online company to get the referral set up. The referral was sent to this office. This office denied the referral due to not enough history provided. (Looking at the request, this seemed logical as very little history was provided) so the company added more and re-requested and Dr. Loomes denied it again and again a third time. Each time there is about a month in between. They know this and should have just called and asked us the history and moved it forward. Why make this so much harder than it has to be. I know our medical system is messed up to put it nicely so shouldn't we just use some common sense and work together. My medical company has now requested the same thing from a different doctor. Shame on you Dr. Loomes and shame on the medical company provided by my work.

By far the worst experience at a Doctors office. The guy doesn't respect other medical conditions such as PTSD and after being told he's really good and spends lots of time with his patients but I wouldn't know anything about that. He didn't bother to let me know how the procedure went and months down the road I'm left sitting in his office (well past the time they'd be charging me for a missed appointment) with not so much as an apology. So is he even there? How long am I to wait for Dr. Don't Care? So tired of being treated like a car payment!

Dr. Loomes and the staff at Pacific Digestive Health are absolutely fantastic. Dr. Loomes has been my gastroenterologist for nearly five years, and during that time I've been extremely satisfied with all aspects of my care. He is immensely knowledgeable and always up to date with the latest medical literature. Moreover, he is genuinely empathetic, and he has a wonderful bedside manner.
I highly recommend Pacific Digestive Health and specifically Dr. Loomes.

I am in crohns remission but Dr. Rioux is a great Doctor in follow up. I see him every year (or sooner if needed). I had a low grade fever for over a month and he very quickly ran a few tests and found that I was still in good health concerning my guts. I'm very satisfied with my care and concern from Dr. Rioux and would be happy to recommend him for your G.I. care.

Dr. Rioux is wonderful as well has his support team. I feel valued and listened to and he gives out options. I wouldn't recommend anyone need a GI doctor but if needed I would highly recommend Dr. R, I feel safe in his care.
