The new check-in is ridiculous. You have to tell the receptionist what is going on with your body in front of everyone that's sitting 4 feet away. Where's the privacy? At least the old check-in had a separate/private room.

Went on a Sunday evening and it was not very busy. Quick service by all staff and Dr. Brandy Reid was super helpful and listened to all my questions and concerns then proceeded to go what seemed to be above and beyond to helpe at that moment and also to direct me to the people/places where my next steps will take me. I was sooo stresses out about going in. I left feeling well heard and on the path towards feeling better. Thanks to all of you fighting the good fight down there. Bless you all!

Better to go to vernon or kelowna. These guys here deliberately make people wait I am watching for last several years. Doctors are not efficient too.

On Wednesday, June 1,2022, I accompanied my son to the Emergency Department at RIH in Kamloops. My son was in great distress when we walked through the doors and we were greeted by a nurse, Shona, who gave us a big smile as she walked us through the Covid 19 protocols, taking her time to assess my son's condition. She provided each of us with a face mask and confidently explained what would happen once we were inside the emergency services area. Once inside I could see that it was busy, purposefully so, with many health workers and staff assisting the many people seeking medical help . During the 5 hours that we were there Shona was the constant. She greeted everyone with respect and empathy, always with that friendly smile and her warm sense of humour as she helped those needing help to navigate through the hospital emergency system. At one point late into the evening she came into the waiting room, asking if we had heard the chimes. She told us that the chimes announced the news that a baby had been born at the hospital, a joyful outcome. Every doctor, nurse, and technician my son encountered was helpful respectful and kind. Thank you all for helping him through a difficult time
