We went to another emergency with open fracture of my 10 year old daughter and they said to wait in line. We decided to go to Saanich Peninsula Hospital and they took her right away. People there are amazing.

I arrived by plane from Ontatio to visit friends & was shopping for some groceries when I had a terrible fall in the parking lot of the store.
I was driven by my friend to your Emerg. with severe facial trauma, triaged at 4:50pm and sat in the over-full waitng room for 6 hours. Asked for & was given Tylanol for the pain. Finally seen by a very kind, calm & overworked woman doctor who did the workup & ordered M.R. scans of my head and neck areas.
Back to waiting room at around 10pm for another 2 hours. Released with papers and a follow -up appointment with a plastic surgeon at Royal Victoria Hospitsl a few days later.
Except for the extraordinarily long & painful wait I, as a person from 'away', when treated, was done so with exceptional courtesy and professionalism.
Thanks to you all for the grace under pressure and overtime hours that you experience on a daily basis.
I dont know you do it but grateful you do!!

Just been there tonight with my 5 year old daughter and we were seen basically right away. In after 10 om, out before midnight. All beds were full but they were very efficient. My daughter received the most wonderful care while in the ER. The nurses on duty were extremely kind and patient and the nurse who took care of my kid after the intake was absolutely amazing! She was the same with me a couple of weeks ago when Some internal bleeding sent me to ER! The doctor who saw my daughter was also very attentive to everything and very carrying!
Wonderful health care employees over there! Thank you.

This morning I had to visit Saanich Peninsula Hospital Emerge. Just want to say thank you, and it was as good a medical experience as one could have, anywhere. The triage and nursing staff were helpful, capable, friendly, and busy. X-Ray same, and the new X-Ray machine is great. Takes very clear understandable pictures. Dr. Maher, the only physician on, was very clear, concise in her explanations and somehow caring and efficient in her delivery. Thank you all.

Unbelievably unhelpful and unprofessional and extreme and inaccurate wait estimates.

I was in there for 7 hours to get a throat swab, when I arrived the estimated wait time was 2hours and when I was called in it was 4hours. The nurse doing the checking in was extremely rude and condescending. On top of that, the doctor told me to access my results through MyHealth but I am unable to set up an account without doctor signature since I’m underage. She did not provide me with a doctor’s note or signature then told me she would be off for the next days without a way to access results. When I called to see if I could access my results through the lab or by obtaining a signature, I was told to just go through a walk-in or wait another 8 hours for a literal signed piece of paper that they had missed. Who has time for that? Just sign the damn paper.

I came in with the worst gout pain I've ever had and the straff from front desk to the doctor who sawe were just incredible. So friendly and understanding. Listened to my issues and I was in and out in 2 hours. I wish emergency rooms could be family doctors.. need to find me one of those.
