Worst day of my life!! I can’t explain how bad is the service here!!! I don't know why they have named it an Emergency service when you have to wait for 7 to 8 HOURS!!! First of all they forget and skipped my name!! After I asked to security they called me inside and Again I waited for almost 3 hours!! It is just ridiculous!! No one is helpful here !! especially nurses have the exceptional attitude!!! The counties they have been calling third world has better and fast healthcare service they can ever imagine. I heard the nurse talking that “ it is so nice outside what are these all people doing here!!” I am so surprised!!!

I came in here last week with extreme pain that I have been having in my stomach and I had some blood work done through an app and I needed the results so I can find out what's going on with myself. I have never been treated so badly in all my life at a hospital by two assistant nurses LPNS . I had to have more blood taken and an IV in as I have an overactive bladder and the doctor was giving me medication to relax it. The nurse was so rude to me her name was Sonya and she put the IV in my hand she was so rough she had put the band around my arm so tight that it cut off my circulation and left a big red mark and she put the needle in so big apparently it was a big needle and shoved it way in there , I told her how painful it was and I asked her to be a little bit more gentle and to loosen up the band as I have had blood taken many times in just a few weeks ago also at Saint Joseph's and did not experience this so when I had the CAT scan and they put the dye in it was extremely painful. The woman at the CT scan said that the needle was too big and pushed in too far. Also Sonya came back into my room she removed the medication bag the doctor wanted me to have and she proceeded to put on an empty bag for the IV which I noticed right after she left the room, I did mention this to the doctor he said he was going to have a talk with her. Very weird ...Anyways when the doctor came later on and said I could leave, I needed to have the IV taken out and I was in so much pain from the IV and I asked him to bring in a different LPN as I did not feel comfortable with Sonja anymore as she was extremely Agressive and not caring. Probably one of the worst LPN'S next to Nichole B that I have ever experienced .Nichole B came down to remove the IV she literally ripped the tape off my hand aggressively , I said please can you be more gentle this hurts so so bad. She said I have to rip it off like this and then she proceeded to literally rip the IV out of my hand.😳
It is a week later and my hand is still completely bruised . I am 44 years old and have had my blood taken and an IV put in many times and this was by far the worst experience and the worst nurse Assistants I have ever come across in my life. Absolute terrible bedside Manner and do not care about their patients. Clearly Nicole B does not know her job or she would have taught my skin and proceeded to take that out more gently. I could not believe that she ripped it right out . I do have a grandmother who used to be an RN before retirement and I also have a cousin who is an RN and she also used to work at the regional hospital. And she cannot believe the way I was treated. I literally dread going to the hospital and now I will avoid the regional hospital and continue to go to St Joseph's as I go there all the time and they are extremely friendly and caring and gentle some of the best nurses that I've ever experienced next to Ontario where I used to live. I hope to never see these nurses again and I feel bad for anybody who comes across them when they are in a bad Mood . Also another nurse I forget her name I only asked her for water I told her my mouth was extremely dry from the medication and she would not give me water I said can I have some ice chips she didn't even want to give me that I could not believe the way I was treated at this Hospital. Please avoid Regional Hospital if you can and go to St Joseph's and only have to go to the regional maybe for CAT scans if the Physicians from St Joseph's send you over there. Horrible horrible experience 😞

Had a minor procedure in clinic 1 April 22
Can't express how great an experience we had.
From registering to out the door, the staff and volunteers were exceptional.
Right through to the lovely lady at the parking kiosk and the security guard that was as much entertaining as he was helpful.
Well done everyone and thanks.

I had my spinal fusion surgery in late June of last year. First off, the recovery was great. I only had to stay at the hospital for 4 and a half days because they were satisfied with how much exercise I could do in one day. The surgeon, Dr. Neil Manson, who I had, was terrific because he would check in on me and see how fast I came since the surgery. Another thing I loved was that because I was in the pediatric ward, at age 17, I had a TV and a Nintendo Switch, which was great to pass the time with.

Now I will talk about the stuff I did not like, so strap yourself in because this will be a bumpy ride. First off, I know that the hospital is short on nurses, but it would have been nice when the nurses helped me when I had raging diarrhea due to the huge numbers of pills I was given every day. One event I remember was when I had to go to the bathroom, and I was ringing them to help me out of bed, but they did not come because they were too busy talking about how well the Montreal Canadiens are doing. So, there's me who is struggling to the toilet, while the nurses are ignoring my needs, and finally, I was able to get to the toilet in a nick of time. One other thing I disliked was the trashy food that they served. I don't know who gets the food for the hospital, but they need to be fired because that is not how you run a hospital, especially one with so many patients. Think of the children.

In conclusion, when my time was up in the hospital, I was jumping for joy because I did not want to be in this prison anymore. The best parts of my visit were the surgery itself, and leaving the hospital four and a half days after my surgery. Hopefully, I don't have to go back anytime soon. I give this hospital two stars because at least there were things to do in your spare time and some of the nurses were nice.

Genuinely the worst day of my life! Knew I was gonna have to wait a while. The board said 6-8 hours for non life threatening symptoms, fine. Got the registered at 2pm. Next thing I know it’s 4am still haven’t been seen with no eta on sight. Was weak and exhausted at that point and had to go home to sleep. Was there for 14 hours and saw no one. A poor mother and daughter was ahead of me and was there for 16 hours and haven’t been seen. Atrocious.

Arrived May 28 via EMS from PE
Had to await for the cardiac Cath till Monday June 2nd
Felt like since we were from out of province could have tried to get us in Thursday or Friday but circumstances in the department didn't allow it and we accepted this as a nurse myself for many years totally understand.
Can't praise the staff on 5B North and the Cardiac Cath department for the exceptional care my husband Dave received.
So must support following delays, reports and pre and post following the procedures . Which was done twice as first attempt wasn't successful.
Can't praise all the staff enough.
A busy unit but so professional
Thank you again and we'll see you again as another procedure to complete the stents.
David and Linda Mackinnon 😊❤️

Worst experience I ever had in a hospital. Went to the emergency reception and waited for more than 12 hrs. After 12hrs we just inquired approximate wait time and the nurse on duty raised her voice and started yelling. She just called security and denied our health care. I know no one in the management will take care of this. May karma will hit you guys.
