I genuinely don't understand why there are so many negative clinic reviews.
what is wrong with you people! Coming from someone who came from military doctors who are basicly bottom of the barrel doctors. The medical team at this clinic is a blessing!! It almost brought me to tears that these doctors actually care about us and do their best to help us with illnesses and pain. I've been in chronic pain since I've left the military after 8 years of service. I suffer from arthitis in my neck and possibly my shoulder at 28 years old. They listen to you they write it down, and most importantly, they care about you and me. You are lucky you have a danng doctor right now! Almost all these 1 stars are from grumpy seniors that are privileged Karen's or Karen's. Special shootout to Dr. kwasnika! You are a gift to this world, and we need more people like you. Plus, you got a super cute boxer and a sick whip! (Car). Again, thank you for all the things you do for sidney! (This is Eric, the guy with the mullet) Dr. k if I ever see you at the bar, im buy you a 🍺 or atleastsome delicious dog treats for your puppers. Again, thank you, thank you, thank you ❤️

Front desk refused service and suggested I drive 30km to Victoria to see a doctor.

I’m on file and My family doctor since I was a child is there and apparently because I left the province. I can’t see a doctor.

Now I’m on my way to the hospital to clog the medical system more.

Canada is the worst, and your facility is contributing to its decline.

Clinic is ok. Staff is nice. Booking is easy online.
Unfortunately nobody I know who has the same doc as me is happy with him. I feel incredibly awkward with him and he can be very blunt. He doesn't seem to understand female things. He doesn't listen well.
I try to use locums when I need to book an appointment. I was allowed to have my last physical/pap done by a female nurse practitioner.
I miss my old GP who knew me and respected me.
I am grateful to at least have a GP at all so I can usually book appointments within a 2 wks window if needed.
Anything urgent and I have to book walk in.
Our medical system is so broken.

Dr. Beckett takes time to be with her patients. I never feel rushed through an appointment. She shows genuine care and compassion. I feel fortunate to have someone who is so clearly good at why they do for my primary care doctor.

While wait times on the phone can be a bit long sometimes, I have always gotten through to staff. The nurses and reception staff are absolutely lovely. I have seen at least 8 doctors through this clinic and the walk-in it provides. Other than one, who was mentioned in other comments for being an insensitive jerk, every doctor I've had has been kind, openly communicated with me, and genuinely worked with me to solve my problems, or referred me to see someone who would better be able to help.

Very thankful I have a family doctor here, it's one of the best clinics I've been to, if not the best. I've visited at least 8 other walk-ins in Victoria and the Peninsula, none of them even come close.

NOVEMBER 2024 Time for update i since moved on but know folks who still use them. I got my medical records from too & yes frontline staff are good & helpful BUT as not uncommon the Tenor ie tone of their communications are cold & always UNSIGNED ie no name which no other organization outside of the Government can get away with ... they work making EXCELLENT MONEY $$$
in a seniors Town that literaly LENT THEM MONEY to setup shop so they best provide training in terms of CSR if they need to send emails about "respect" out to their patients. PLEASE note they also get tax breaks on their property which most DRs. Dont get & they no longer do walkin clinic which was part of their original mandate. UPDATE: Recently (Sept/2023) I dropped in to the Sidney clinic to ask if they have located a doctor for the 1000's that recently lost theirs at their clinic all done with a single nameless random email after just being told a Dr. Duguay was taking over for them so after years literally of having a family doctor, Dr. Aidan Byrne, he retires & it has been a literally Gong show of revolving Drs from a practise claiming they have 25 drs. The office supervisor I spoke to was courtesty however did say they say they are always looking for Drs. In rgeards to me & the 1000's patients how suddenly have NO Dr. she said it is unlikely to ever find one for us all & even if they did they would not know HOW to find us all (I would try their client list) so we all best get on the Infamous BC healthlink list (lol) for a new doctor. THE ONLY bright note is some of the most serious patient cases (chronic/elderly) where found a doctor at the practise. This is all more dissapointment by what can only be described as a poorly run medical practise ... in fact recently they even turned off the feature of their online messaging system ON THEIR patient online booking program as they are too busy to answer messages. Interesting note when I last checked the money $$$ they borrowed ($200K) from the Town of Sidney in 2016 to help start the clinic WAS STILL NOT paid back yet. P.S. 1000 patients divided by 25+ Drs is 40 a doctor. Date: June 6, 2023 ... Shoreline medical has now announced they are disabling the messaging feature their web-site ... this is interesting as they seem to be good with telephone doctoring for years now ... even goiing so far to send an blank template email to us all to tell 1000's of us we NO LONGER HAVE a Dr. .... perhaps with their claimed 25 Drs & numerous admin they need to get more staff as I am thinking there is a message in this increase in communications from those annoying patients & NOT to cancel more services .... especially after the 54% raise & many other perks family Drs have recieved in BC for NO extra patient load at all ... worst service I have had for a family doctoring after 25 years in BC living in more than one location in BC.
They need to really improve there communication with patients and follow up as they require FOUR weeks notice to renew a non-opioid general prescription yet a follow-up call to appointment is needed to remind them to do it or it takes them 2 weeks to do it. UPDATE Feb 2023 We had a very dependable Family Dr bring his practise to these folks a few years back BUT since he retired in 2019 Shoreline has NOT been able to provide consistent quality care using a number of locums to cover their maternity/paternity/part-time issues though claim to have 25 doctors in all their PR releases as well as 2 locations. The majority of their care has been & continues to be TELEPHONE doctoring for last 3 yrs. After the "contract" doctor who replace our replaced family doctor quit 2/3 thru her term they have used locums to cover .... saying they may not be able to replace her ... then after MANY MONTHS they announced a new repalcement doctor which was welcome relief ... BUT then yesterday JUST as she was to begin we were told she has pulled out of her agreement last minute so now their advice is to sign up on the "BC Health request a family doctor" web-site which some people have been on for YEARS!!!
