I can't believe this place only has 4.6 stars, I guess you can't make everyone happy. Smarteyes is the only place I will go for as long as I live in Comox Valley. They have a great selection, welcoming atmosphere and knowledgeable people who will put you at ease and make sure you look great.

John was above and beyond helpful, it was a pleasure to spend some time with him while we shopped. I usually have a hard time feeling at ease when I have to interface with staff members, and I felt right at home.

I have only said this a handful of times in the last ten years, but it was absolutely amazing to just be treated like a normal person. I used to love interacting with random people while shopping and going about my day, and have become quite guarded over the years. It felt good to be lulled into a sense of belonging, and to laugh and banter.

I recently purchased a pair of prescription glasses here, such a warm and welcoming place. My glasses were ready within 8 working days, and they were approximately $500.00 less than the last pair I purchased elsewhere in the Valley.
Cheaper yes, but the quality is just as good, and the service was amazing!
I personally don’t think you could go wrong with the services at Smarteyes!

When it came time for new glasses, we thought we'd give Smarteyes a try. We were very pleasantly surprised. Smarteyes has a great selection of frames - we both found exactly what we were looking for. I would have given zero stars if I was given that option. The customer service was fine until I had some minor questions about my glasses. The man there was extremely rude and condescending the whole time that I was the only customer in the store. He was short tempered and appeared to be very annoyed that my glasses didn't seem to work for me. His demeaner changed back to phony nice as soon as another customer entered the store. That new customer happened to be a man and I will guarantee that he wouldn't treat another man the way he was treating a lone woman in his store. I would not recommend this store and I will take my business elsewhere next time!

Great service every time I came in, Quick and great and always makes me feel welcomed, Would reccomend 100% To anyone, and I have. Came in today to get some new frames, he noticed right away what I needed and wanted and had me leaving with a smile 🙂

John was amazing! My glasses broke and I needed a new pair asap. I contacted other places first but they couldn't have a new pair until at lesst 10 days! John had mine ready in 2 hours! Go see John at smart eyes!
