Good Quality, But Pricey

I recently visited Tandoor Bakery in Vancouver, and the quality of their bread was definitely good. Fresh, flavorful, and a nice variety of options.

However, considering the current price of flour and comparing it to other cities in Canada, I found the bread to be highly priced. Given the quality, I expected more competitive pricing.

If you're looking for authentic, high-quality bread and are willing to pay a premium, Tandoor Bakery might be worth checking out. Just be aware of the prices, and you might want to budget accordingly.

Clean and brightly lit Persian bakery with a lot of other Persian grocery products. We weren’t very familiar with the offerings, so we asked the person at the counter and she was very patient in explaining the different breads that they had. We ended up getting a giant piece of flat bread (babari) and it was a great experience. Some of the things were labelled with the Persian Alphabet so we didn’t end up checking it out.

Disgusting experience. These guys sold us Babari bread, that upon opening at home was filled with mold and was dry as cardboard.
There was no freshness date.
Then when my husband called to complain to both sales person and manager they obfuscated and circled on dumb, stupid and incoherent arguments wasting precious time and NOT taking responsibility or acknowledgement of their horrible wreck of inconsumable baked good.
To make things worse, we checked the freshness date on two cans of food purchased there and were shocked they sold food from April 2024...over a year old.
This, can make people very ill, and shockingly there food license should be stripped...how utterly disgusting and disgraceful...Food Health and Safety department should be investigating these idiots!!

Never go there.!!!

Have you ever heard of a bakery which doesn't indicate when the bread was baked? Well, that seems to be standard operating procedure at Tanoor Bakery. I bought one of Tanoor's Barbari breads at Pasargad yesterday and started eating it today... It was moldy, stale and had the flexibility of cardboard... I called the bakery and spoke to their "manager"... he assured me all the bread they were baking today was fresh... He did not seem to understand that not having a freshness date is not a good idea. Is that even legal?

Brand new bakery in town offering two type of Persian bread,
For those in fan of Barbari and Taftoon, I would recommend the place. The staff mentioned they will have grand official grand opening in December.

Bread was fresh and tasty. Prices are high but comparable to other options in town.
