I've needed a haircut for almost a year, my hair was and still is extremely long. I've been on my curly hair journey since 2020 and through a quick google search, I found Tawnia. I saved her Instagram and wanted to wait to be sure I had the right person as I had never had a curly cut before and, as I'm sure many can appreciate, was apprehensive as I've had so many questionable haircuts in the past. I finally decided to get in touch with Tawnia and made my first appointment. From the beginning she was informative, prompt and welcoming. My first appointment with her yesterday was amazing. She was so kind and welcoming. I didn't have an exact idea of what I wanted but certainly knew what I didn't want and she was so understanding and gave me great solutions to my previous hair concerns. I loved that she walked me through every stage of the wash and style routine including what products she uses, how much, how to apply them in real time. The cut she gave me is FANTASTIC. My hair feels so light and bouncy, full of volume and free to move as it pleases. I slept with a bonnet and the next day, I didn't even need to style it, just a quick water refresh and it was perfection. I got so many compliments today and I feel like a new person. I can't wait for my next curly cut and to see Tawnias smiling face again. Can't recommend her highly enough, Curly queens you won't be disappointed! After too many not-quite-right haircuts... Months and months of top buns, and all the mix of confusing advice I’d picked up over my journey, I’d been nervous to book a hair appointment with someone new.
But booking with Tawnia was the best decision I could have made!

She’s incredibly skilled and knowledgeable, and just so easy to talk to. From the moment I sat down, I felt completely at ease. She asked thoughtful questions, really listened, and was such a beautiful, kind human to be around.
Not only that but she gave me a hair cut that actually checked all the boxes and walked me through the products and process with clear, step-by-step guidance. Her curl care tips were realistic and doable for me and my lifestyle. She even followed up with notes!

Super satisfied with my curly cut from Tawnia!
Helped bring my curly hair back to life! Very knowledgeable with great tips! She even emails you a list of products with the order in which and how you should use them after your appointment! I found this very helpful as it can be easy to forget if you're not used to a proper curly hair routine!
Definitely recommend her for anyone with curly hair!!

This range of education and skill isn’t taught in school (much as it should be), therefore the time and passion it takes to curate this, is extensive. I had no idea how to properly deal with my curly hair. With so much different information out there, it’s hard to tell what I should and shouldn’t be doing to maintain healthy curls. I recently went to see Tawnia and it was an extremely valuable visit, she was able to show me the full potential of ky curls. Tawnia is Awesome! I love my hair after my appointment with her this week. I have been straightening my hair for the last 20 + years and wanted to go back to my natural curls. Tawnia gave my hair the cut it needed to release and enhance my curls! She then introduced me to and demonstrated the products I should be using for my curls.
