This place really helped.e when I needed it most great food there was only one bad staff who wouldn't let stay the night and because of that I got bad frostbite this was January 2022 thanks for helping me appreciate the good staff unfortunately someone stole my leather jacket and Hugo Boss tracksuit happy they gave me boots after I lost my shoes and a winter jacket Rocko

It's not the same as calgary centre,I was treated way better,there's an art center,computer corner,coffee pot on ,the warehouse is an awesome place to rest without judgment,clothing closet.

I volunteered here for awhile in 2021: cooking, packaging, and serving meals, maintaining the community centre, making coffee, and just generally keeping the area clean and welcoming. They have an overnight shelter, deliver meals to the other shelters in Kamloops, and have detox/rehab programs that enable those who want to get clean and off the streets a safe, secure, and supportive place where they can do so. They also provide the opportunity to learn/gain job skills during the rehab phase by having interested residents help out in the kitchen and otherwise in the centre.
Yes, they are a religious organization, but they certainly weren't pushy or overbearing on anyone who used or volunteered at the community centre to convert or anything like that. They run a good ship there, from what I saw.
They also partnered with the Starbucks restaurants in Kamloops and picked up all their "day old" packaged foods. They were great treats and very popular with the people who frequented the centre. It was nice to be able to provide snacks/treats between mealtimes for all of them. ❤️
Nothing wrong with day old bakery items. Same stuff I grew up eating as a kid with my family. Still tastes good to me. \o/

Went there for a prescription refill. The doctor on staff said I had to piss test first. Knowing I can't do that due to complications with my prostate. So now I'm in severe withdrawal after 9 years clean. Great place.

I have had quite the numerous meals here; And also have got to know the staff here! They are very kind and helpful. They are very much into their roles of making you feel welcome! They also do well At being a listening ear! I can say without a doubt , that the food is great and the staff is awesome ! Anyone could walk in and most certainly feel welcome ! This place is a great asset to the community and a major player in assisting with battling the the homelessness ! A great place .

Great place it's amazing they feed the homeless 2 square meals a day 7 days a week also accommodate 30 people a night with coats to sleep on and free showers fresh clothing toiletries snacks sleeping bags bedding fresh bottles of water and amazing staff.

The new life mission is a great place for the less fortunate. The mission supplies meals to the homeless and a warm place to sit and have coffee when it's cold outside for the homeless. Upstairs at the new life mission is an addictions recovery program for men. I myself and presently a client in the addictions program. I have been clean for 7 weeks now and doing remarkably well. New life mission has helped me in my recovery and to better myself to become a productive member to society. I recommend if you have any donations that you give them to the new life mission as it will go to a worthy cause.

The New Life Community Building is a great place for the less fortunate to come and have a hot meal, a place to get out of the cold, and a great many other services are provided at this building. The upstairs of the building is a men's self-guided drug and alcohol recovery program. It is an excellent program and I am a client here myself. The New Life Community has helped me a great deal in my recovery from addiction. Donations may be made to the New Life Community and one would be helping a very worthy cause by doing so.
