Tansi, I am a First Nation's man that completed this 90 day program at Trinity Men's recovery house in the Fall of 2023. My experience here was life-changing, it opened my eyes to see differently in a way where life was worth living. The experienced staff will help guide someone through the 12 steps to look deep within yourself to heal from the addiction. They included life skills such as cleaning, cooking, showing up for appointments on time, being accountable to yourself and others, time management, routine and schedule. They even brought in a 5 star professional chef to show us and experience fine dining! The community engagement and the wonderful people I encountered helped me to ground myself within my recovery. This program included while I was there, activity out on the land such as traveling to Haida Gwaii for an amazing conference that Dr.Gabor Mate was a presenter that we got to meet in person and met many other people on the island that supported us with their experience, strength and hope though cultural teachings.
Another time we had the opportunity to go on a fishing guide boat that was ran and operated by an Indigenous family that took us halibut fishing and told us the Indigenous history of Prince Rupert.
We were to volunteer in the community, and went to many meetings. Even the staff made sure that we got to a sweatlodge ceremony which was to travel out of town.
We met many positive, supportive, healthy people in recovery that wanted us to know we have potential and many opportunities to have a great life moving forward. Trinity house is an amazing, safe place for men to go to and get honest! This place is inclusive to all no matter what race you are! Remember you are worth it. ✨️

Amazing place that helps those in addiction find their light and purpose again, my fiancé attended and is now 1 year sober and counting, he also managed to help get some of his buddies into the program. The help he got and the skills he learned will be there for a lifetime, as it will be for others. The staff are very caring and will absolutely go above and beyond to help these men. I highly recommend Trinity Men's Recovery House 💜

When my life had hit rock bottom everything around me in shambles, I had burnt every bridge and no where to go. My sister referred me to this men’s recovery house out in Prince Rupert. At first I was very guarded and subjected to the program, but when I realized in order for me to recover I had to be open to what these people had to offer with the program… Fast forward I am now clean & sober Indigenous man. I have defiantly transformed into the person I was always meant to be, my boss couldn’t be happier having employee who was always late not show up ,now come in early and full energy. Dad never misses soccer game. If you are serious about wanting to recover and live a fulfilling life I would suggest letting these awesome people help you.

May 6, 2022 I was brought to the trinity men’s recovery house broken and hating everything life had to offer, including myself. With my time at the house I learned to love myself and life again. Learning about the 12 steps and working them every day I learned that “I” was the problem and I had to dig deep into my heart and soul to make things worth while. Depending on how many men were in the house you could cook 2-5 times a week and got me to learn to work together with another person. They also taught me to help others with volunteering every Friday and to eventually open up and chair different 12 step meetings. With being there in the spring and summer time we spent every weekend out hiking or even up to lake else just outside terrace. I definitely recommend this place to any man wanting and willing to give sobriety a chance. It is so worth it and won’t have it any other way! Thank you trinity house for all you do for men

The team at Trinity House went above and beyond to assist me in finding long term sobriety. They helped me navigate all personal issues that I brought with me to the house, whether it was medical, financial or legal. They will do everything in their power to help you get find sobriety of your own, by designing a program that not works for you, but focuses on what makes your addiction tick. Recovery and changing your life are hard feats, but this team saves lives.

I am eternally grateful for the foundation they helped me build.

Yes I am proud to say that I am a Haida/Nishga man, I have successfully made it through the 90 day program that is being offered. When I started my program, I have been given what is of the beginning of the rest of my life . I was defeated , beaten down, by the worst enemy, my self. With time and time again I felt that I was never going to find a different way of life. Trinity has given me hope, desire , strength, confidence, positive decision making and to have love for myself again, These were things I didn't believe that I would ever have or were to feel again , but to thanks to the staff and director of trinity house, Hawaa ( thank-you) for given me confidence within myself of doing my step work and applying these to my daily life routine ...

I went to trinity house in 2022 when everything in my life had fall appart. I was homeless and far away from home. I was a angry an dishonest person and i needed to be challenge in my way of thinking because my best thinking bring me alone drunk and homeless! It wasnt easy because i did not want to let go of my old way of living completely! I relapses many times afterward but the seed that the caring and loving staff planted inside of me grow as i am sober today One day at the time. I reconnect with the people i loved and i am back home In Quebec where i am from! Trinity House is a clean and safe place for man who is ready to take certain steps to recover. It change my life.

Terrible place, don't recommend indigenous people to go here, they operate like a boot camp army camp, men have to be tough all their lives, you should be able to go to treatment and learn how to talk more, being bullied makes you quite ! Makes you want to hide even more. There are far more ways to treat clients for addiction and being a bully shouldn't be one of them!!! People make it two to three weeks here, FNHA shouldn't fund this place unless they watched how they operate........

My parter is not a loser, he's going to change, you can have all the tools and then someone close to you dies, someone that knew you and you knew them and the world hits different. This is a time to remind people there's still hope not a time to determine they're forever going to be like that!
