They supported Miklat Recovery House on two seperate occations on supplies that would normally cost thousands. They are good people who are community minded and care about their beautiful town. I would buy from them over anywhere else in town.

Best hardware store in town, with a great selection of lumber. However, it's pretty tough to find a good time to go there for those of us with full-time jobs during the week. I would give them 5 stars if they were open on weekends.

Took them 3 weeks to give me excuses on why the couldn't fill an order of 2x12, 4x4 and deck board with hardware. They made a partial delivery of lumber a week in. With what I thought was all the hardware. Had to cancel my order with them, after waiting 3 WEEKS. Delayed me almost 6 months because I couldn't pour concrete over the winter for footings on this 170 set of stairs. Rona filled the order and delivered it in 3 days.... Now I'm here and realized half or more of the carriage bolts that were supposed to be 6" are 5 1/". Useless and incompetent. Make sure you come say hi if you see me in town. I'll post a link to the tiktok video I'm making for you guys. Pure sabotage of a new contractor in town. On an order worth 15G think twice before going to these clowns for your supplies

Pricing on tools is high. Like 30% higher than the island.
The people behind the front desk know their products and their store.

I highly recommend shopping here.
Although prices are high for tools they do carry the best tools you can buy in powell river

Ordered water line several weeks ago, 9 days after paying we called to check if it had arrived and it still wasn't ordered. Over a week later after still not hearing back we called and were told it was here. Came to pick it up and was charged an extra $80 without explanation. When asked why we were told because "the price must have gone up since we ordered". When I tried to explain we'd been waiting weeks because of the stores reluctance to order I was cut off, when I insisted she let me speak the front desk lady made it clear she wasn't listening and then refused to speak to me, taking my friend to speak to the floor manager "because she was the one who paid". The service here is some of the worst I've seen. Both front desk ladies have been rude and unhelpful previously but this was very extra. Shop eslewhere if you have any choice. Someone screwed up and my friend had to pay $80 for their mistake.

Edit: I've slept on it and am still very angry at how this was handled. They owed us an apology for not ordering when we paid and not communicating/making us repeatedly call and ask/not explaining what the extra charges were or that there would be extra charges at all. Instead they seperated us so they could walk all over my friend and get more money out of her. It's just so greasy and petty.

They may be the best in town if you are a contractor, as so many claim, but I paid $600 to have my order delivered to Texada, and four months later I am still waiting for part of it. They sent the wrong product, 1x2s instead of 2x2s And I still have not received what I ordered. They also damaged some of the foam insulation and ALL of the finishing material. I have no doubt that if I was a regular customer (eg contractor) I would have my wood, replacement finishing material and an apology for the wait by now. Instead all I get is excuses and gas lighting from "Vic" who has a lot to learn about customer service. Not a great place for the do it yourselfer. One stared until they treat me like a human customer. (now the edit....) I upped it to four stars, and although it took prodding, and probably the above review... I did receive the rest of my order. Vic seamed honestly hurt that I would think so badly of them. He sent a guy with a pickup truck to drop off the highly valued wood and panels.

Just on the outskirts of town center, they have wonderful products, friendly helpful staff, and great variety. The only downfall here is the prices are slightly high which may make it less affordable for some, however the prices do seem fair and on point considering the product is also higher quality and will probably be worth what you spend in the long run. Go check them out! 😊
