Terrible customer service on returns. I purchased extra rolls of irrigation line to make sure I had enough to complete my projects. I tried to return 2 unused rolls 35 days after purchasing them only to find out that they have a 30 day return policy. I explained I was trying to support our local business when I could have shopped online, bought the product cheaper and had free delivery to my door. The Owner (ex Ceo of the Victoria Chamber of Commerce) was completely dismissive and stuck by his 30 day return policy. Make sure you only buy what you can use if you choose to support this business. Back to Home Depot for me.

Do Not Recommend – Poor Customer Service and Dishonest Practices

We bought outdoor light bulbs in April based on a recommendation from this company’s staff, who assured us they were the right fit for our fixture. 3 months later, when our worker installed the lights, we discovered the bulbs don’t fit. They are unused and in perfect condition.

Despite this being a clear case of poor advice from their staff, the owner refused to accept the return, citing a strict 30-day policy — which was never disclosed at the time of purchase. He also falsely claimed that his staff had told us the bulbs might work, which is simply untrue.

After two frustrating phone calls (the second of which escalated due to his refusal to take responsibility), it’s clear this business does not stand behind its recommendations or value customer satisfaction. We’re now stuck with unusable bulbs because of their bad advice.

Take your business elsewhere — this company does not treat its customers with integrity or respect.

Emily was outstanding and a fountain of knowledge. My project would have been a disaster if it wasn't for her. I spent multiple hours with her on my irrigation design, parts etc. She steered me into a completely different direction and am so glad that she did. She made sure I had all parts that I needed to avoid multiple trips back to the store and was very patient. Exceptional customer service and very knowledgeable in anything sprinkler and irrigation. I will shop at the Langford location from now because of her.

I just wanted to add another positive review, excellent service, a caveat commercial (I'm DIY) oriented service, so I did get bumped as I was at the commercial till while a contractor was given priority. That said I was treated well and was helped, and shown the location of my other parts, and had any questions answered - I did do my homework and was looking for two specific items which I easily found but had other needs that was the help. Best stock and organized layout I've seen maybe ever. My thought is they're not a classroom or teachers, if you're mildly informed you'll be fine. Although it is tempting to pick their brains they know so much and it seems so easy to them. Seeing the negative comments of 4 years ago, I would definitely say they're off base I don't know why and maybe they're true but for a true DIY they're more than you'll ever need for service!

Westech lost a 30yr loyal customer today for refusing to accept a return of product that the staff recommended to me. If I thought Google would allow me to give a “Zero” review I would have. “Poor return policy” claimed by other customers is an understatement. I think the CEO needs a lesson in customer service. Buy Amazon folks.
