Posting for Jim Manning. We had about 4 1/2 hour wait time but we're handled very professionally. When our time came we had a great nurse named Jamie. She was so kind and caring. She managed to get an IV in first shot. Not many have been able to do that. Her quick and efficient pace kept everyone around us receiving GREAT care. She deserves a raise.

We had the most amazing experience at this hospital today. It was amazing even though we were there for almost 5 hours. The care that Sarah and Mike in the emergency department took caring for my dad, was phenomenal. Not only were they patient and caring, they were supportive and kind. Very friendly and engaging as well. My father has Alzheimer’s with dementia and gets confused very easily and sometimes struggles with understanding, and hearing what other people say – and the patience these two nurses showed my father was exemplary. Definitely an asset to this health center. I am sure Sarah and Mike will continue to care for others the same way they cared for my Father. The Universe will reward you with the same care as you go through life. Thank you again for a warm and engaging visit to your ER.

Visited this location 2x in the past. All staff were amazing and it truly felt like they cared about your health. I live in Edmonton and I will drive 30 min just to visit this hospital. We're seen by a DR within 2 hrs and treated by the 3rd hour. Which in my books is excellent for the ER.

I booked myself for blood work here as the spruce grove location is too much and I always end up with staff that doesn't know how to draw blood. Anyways,after Google maps tried to direct me down the
one way staff entrance, I parked in the back lot and I soon realize that the only door is for staff only. At this point I'm panicking because I'm late for my appointment so I try to walk around both sides of the building and realized that's not going to happen. Some ladies (who I assume are kitchen staff) were on break and asked if I was lost and if they could help me. I noted that I was already late for my appointment and I probably would not be able to get my blood work done anyways so I was just going to leave. They said everything was fine and encouraged me just to go around the front and follow through with my appointment. I did so and the receptionist at the lab was very kind even though I was over 10 mins late at this point. Thea was the young lady that took my blood. I get a lot of blood work done and she is top-notch. Found a vein right away and I could not even feel the needle, it was so quick and easy! I will certainly be coming back!!!!

I am writing this review for the women and the men of the medical field doctor nurses for April 28 this one’s absolutely one incredible experience for me the kind warmth loving attention. Nothing was too hard for them the night shift of the 28th April these amazing, intelligent, kind, beautiful compassionate people are just completely over the top. I just want to give them a huge shout out and tell them how much I love them and what they did for me and how they took care of me how they took care of everyone around on my ward. I felt blessed being there wanted and cared for. I’m really hoping that management will read this and please give them the credit that they deserve. This was the best experience I have ever had at a hospital. My Doctor was so knowledgeable, caring, and knew exactly what was going on with me. My nurses loved me with open arms nothing was too hard or trouble they absolutely bent over backwards for me and took care of me like nurses and doctor should please for the night shift of April 28. These ladies and men were absolutely over the top so management I hope your reading this and do something extremely special for these amazing people. They are absolutely amazing and I say this with sincere love Compassion and pure, pure gratefulness thank you very much ladies and gentlemen, doctors and nurses. You are the ones that people need to see when they walk through that door. Love you all sincerely Beverley Wolfe

Dr. Butler is the best doctor, I was there recently for abdominal pain and chest pressure/pain. He listened, he was thorough, even though he had so many patients that night. He was best doc I have had in a very long time. Honestly the nurses as well. I can believe the difference I care you get here. I really appreciated it and felt cared about.

I arrived at 6 am and there was no one in the waiting room and all the beds I walked by were empty. I was assigned a bed and then they said it was shift change at 7 am (30 mins away). I was in severe pain and they left me for 4 hours and only one nurse poked their head in and the lab drew samples. Took five hours before they offered anything for pain. Bloodwork came back with issues so they called my regular doctor and came back to tell me that my pain had nothing to do with other treatments I am on. When I refuted that they said I was wrong (my doctor called me the next day to confirm the issue was related to my other treatment). I had to get myself to the Mis for a CT scan and back to Stony. Another hour wait and then they put me in a chair in the back hall with a pile of other people where the doctor then came and gave me the results (in front of everyone else)—apparently privacy laws don’t exist in AB. Got another IV dose of pain meds in the hall. 15 hours later when I was done. The docs were otherwise good and explained things well but certainly blunt and just trying to get through the backup as fast as possible. Nurses spent a lot of time hanging out at the desk chatting. They served two meals while I was there and although others were fed, I wasn’t offered more was I even offered water.
There were signs posted saying no photos, but maybe that is so no one shows the complete chaos and chairs lined up in the hall. The AB health system is so grossly underfunded that is the horrific care we are subjected to here.

Really couldn't have asked for better care. My son broke his arm pretty bad. A quick 15 min drive, easy, free parking. They sedated him, set it, and we were out within 3 hours of arrival. All the staff, nurses and doctors, were very kind and understanding. No one likes to go to the hospital, but this about as good of an experience as you could get. Thank you!
