Pat and Erika at PlayCare are AMAZING. You can tell that they love their jobs. I feel so comfortable leaving my 4yo and baby there with them. They are wonderful with the kids - my eldest son loves going to play there. It’s really nice as a mom to be able to take time to go workout without the anxiety about who’s watching your kids.
The gym and studios are great for their size. It can feel crowded during peak hours, but the facility has all the basic equipment that you need for a good workout.

I have been a regular member at the YMCA for over a year now and have always appreciated the warm and welcoming atmosphere created by the staff. However, I had a special experience today that I would like to highlight.

Earlier today, I accidentally threw my earphones in a garbage bin and was unable to locate them. When I approached a staff member to request a pair of gloves so I could search for them myself, Taylor, one of the YMCA team members, kindly stepped in and took it upon himself to assist me. He went above and beyond his regular duties by personally getting my earphones from the bin.

This act of kindness meant a great deal to me. Taylor’s willingness to help without hesitation reflects the exceptional service and genuine care provided by the YMCA staff. I am truly grateful for his assistance and wanted to express my heartfelt thanks.

Truly shocked at the reviews as the staff is some of the friendliest and kindest I have ever come across. Keep in mind this is a YMCA, which is accessible for low income families and in the core of downtown. The staff is always smiling and do a great job at maintaining a clean and positive environment.
I wish they would extend their hours, especially on Saturdays however that will not stop me from giving 5 stars!

Walked around the building then inside…. The vibes were off and it felt like the aura was super off, I dunno maybe don’t trust me I was there for 2 seconds, lowkey looked dark af and murdery, okay I’m done now.

Friendly staff and well round facility BUT things could have been better. Better Sanitation (Found one used bloody pad in the women change room and the staff came in and said “oh I thought it was way worse”). Then, she proceed to clean but make it like not a big deal for her. Sometimes, when we go in, the floor smells like urine (from the lobby to the pool). Staff could do better for cleaning up the facility and it would be a VERY GREAT PLACE.

Lots of lockers to use, but always walking around other people’s gym bags,totes,jackets etc, doesn’t seem to matter to anyone

Decent gym. Would’ve kept going if the people that worked out there kept up with hygiene and cleaned their machines after they were done. No etiquette.

Extremely poor experience at the YMCA pool the other day. Lifeguards are very undertrained or very lazy, was swimming laps for 30 minutes and 4 young girl lifeguards were working and consistently turned their back on the pool. We're not paying attention to other families and weak swimmers in the pool. More worried about their personal conversations that weren't related to work. Extremely unprofessional. Not sure where they did their lifeguard training but this would not be acceptable at any other pool or facility I have ever worked or swam at. Very disappointed.
