Upmarket supermarket in Oak Bay. Very well maintained with a lot of choice. Unfortunately prices are higher than you would pay at larger supermarkets. You pay a premium to be able to shop close to home.

A nice, friendly, fourth generation grocer's local market in the Oak Bay district of Victoria with emphasis on fresh deli meats and cheeses, plenty of grocery items including fresh baked goods and a variety of fresh produce, floral and imported specialty items. Located in Athlone Square surrounded by a variety of local retailers and offices in the shopping centre of Oak Bay. Open daily 7 a.m. - 9 p.m. Competitively priced. Transit bus routes 2/5/8 run along Oak Bay Avenue and free on street parking available. Very pleasant surroundings.

i actually enjoy shopping here often, but the employees overall don’t have good customer service skills. today, a deli employee scoffed at me for asking for a dipping sauce from behind the counter. i often find them chatting at the tills instead of engaging with the customer. good store, not good customer service.

We shop here regularly. Our experience over the last 7 years has been excellent. However, our recent experience with the new young staff over the past month has been poor and unsatisfactory, hence the two star rating above. They seem disengaged (caught up with chatting among themselves, unhelpful, distracted and inaccurate). We hope they are only temporary Christmas season employees. We wonder if they received customer service training.
