The ladies are rude, they act like they are so busy… yet it’s empty. I feel if you are person in the medical field and work as a medical receptionist you should go above and beyond for the people coming into your clinic as they are coming to your clinic since they feel something is wrong. No one is coming to the Doctor when they feel 100%. It was very sad to see how awful people can be to sick people.

I called to inquire about booking an appointment despite not having a Telus health account or doctor. The person on the phone said I had to call at 8:30am. She was very condescending and chuckled in annoyance when I asked a question. It’s difficult enough to call a medical office when you feel something may be wrong. What makes it more difficult is people with rude or condescending attitudes. People who make you feel they do not have time for you and that you are bothering them. I understand our health system is strained, I see it every day at my workplace. However, through it all, you would think we would remain caring and compassionate. This system is truly broken.

They falsely advertise that they're a walk-in clinic but they are not. Only in it for the money or those who have it seems. For shame.

I’ve only had fantastic experiences with this clinic. I called to speak with a Dr. about 3 years ago (during the pandemic) and was so fortunate to be put in contact with Dr Grewal. He worked very closely with me to get my condition under control, speaking with him weekly, adjusting medications, then when that concern was handled, he kept going to help me with my health. Through his initiative, not mine, with regular blood tests and regular appointments he helped me get my cholesterol under control, my high blood pressure under control, and my pre diabetic indications are gone. He still schedules me for blood work every 3 months and tells me to contact him at that time to go over the results. I called 3 years ago looking for help with anxiety and I am so grateful for all his help.
I’m always friendly and respectful with the reception staff and in turn they have ALWAYS been very helpful and professional with me every time I call. Funny how that works 🤷🏼‍♂️
I’m 57 years old and this is hands down the best healthcare I’ve received in this province!

This location is listed as a walk in clinic but does not actually take walk ins.
Their front door is locked to all walk ins and you have to call in at 8:30am. I arrived in person before the call time and repeatedly redialed until the lines opened at 8:30am. When I got through at 8:30.22 I was told by an automated system that their walk in was at capacity.
I could see through the window the receptionist hadn't answered the phone once.
They have their automated system set to decline all walk ins, they don't take actual in person walk ins, and yet they still claim they do in both their website and medimap.
I'll be reporting them.

I recently found myself in need of urgent care for a painful (and slightly embarrassing) condition. I called the clinic in the morning and luckily was set up with a telephone triage appointment with Dr. Grewall for that afternoon. He determined that I needed to be seen in person for my issue and had me pop right over to the clinic. Dr. Grewall treated me with the utmost respect and professionalism, answered all of my questions, and made me feel very comfortable with the treatment plan moving forward. I understand that it’s very difficult to get in to a walk-in clinic these days, but I’m so thankful that Oak Bay medical clinic was there to help me when I needed them.

Im so grateful for Dr rideout and the ladies at the front end who always have taken care of me and almost immediately put me in contact with my doctor. Any time I’ve had a medical issue they’ve contacted me back immediately and figure out a way for me to get care. Some of the reviews are so awful towards them but in my opinion if you’re kind and treat people with respect you will get the same treatment in return.
