I have been haveing breakfast here on Saturday with a large group of people for a long time. Lately we have noticed our portions have been cut back significantly.
Our regular server Denise is excellent and we all love here and had to complain.
But the picture tells the story.

Service was good (wasn't able to get her name), food was not that great but not bad either. Can't compare like the frequenters of this place as this was our first time visiting. Came here as the pub across was crowded and a line up outside. For the atmosphere, can't quite describe it - the vibe. The music wasn't inviting, but it might just might be me.
In my opinion, it doesn't attract the public to come. It was almost empty on a Friday night. Can be improved, definitely.

We had great service from our server Denise. We both had a beef dip and it was perfect. My beer was on special for $5 for a true pint. I wish there was a place like this where I live. I'd definitely recommend them for great value and service.

The last two visits to The Highwayman have been my best yet, and I owe that to my server—whose name I couldn’t quite catch over the lively atmosphere, but whom I’ve affectionately nicknamed The Gravy Pusher.

From the first time I sat in her section, she greeted me like I’d been a regular for years—warm smile, quick wit, and a knack for making guests feel right at home. By my second visit, not only did she remember my name, but also my drink order. That’s next-level hospitality.

Anyone who’s worked in the service industry knows it’s a juggling act—managing tables, orders, and the endless parade of personalities. So when a server goes above and beyond, it deserves recognition. And let’s not forget: these folks work the days we’d rather be celebrating—Super Bowl Sunday, New Year’s Eve, Halloween—so the least we can do is treat them with the respect they deserve.

I visited this bar on a Saturday night with a friend. At 9:30 PM, the place was almost empty, with only two other tables occupied despite the large seating area. We ordered their Saturday special, the Long Island Iced Tea, which unfortunately tasted like soda and water. After voicing our concerns, we were advised to double it for a stronger drink. We did, and while it finally tasted like it had alcohol, it still fell short of expectations.

Seeking a better drink, I consulted the bartender and opted for a Moscow Mule, which was an improvement. We also ordered an appetizer platter. The server was polite, and our food arrived in a timely manner.

However, at 10:15 PM, a different server approached us, asking if we needed a box for our food. This caught us off guard, as we were still eating. We politely declined, only to have our original server return 10 minutes later to ask if we wanted the check. When we inquired if they were closing, we were told that while they typically close at midnight, they close early if there are few guests.

Although we tipped generously for the polite service, the overall experience felt unwelcoming. The rushed vibe and subpar drinks made it clear that this isn’t a place I’d revisit or recommend. A disappointing experience.

New name same old establishment. Went yesterday for lunch and it was not great. $18.99 for a sandwich and fries. Smaller sandwich and small fry portion. Overpriced for sure. Looking around from my table I noticed in this partition wall a hole in the plywood and a chunk broken out. It's not going to cause the place to fall apart but it's not too appealing to the decor of the place. You would think they would put some money into the place. Anyways I won't be back as there are way better options out there - Especially for the price. In my opinion it's sub par food and portions.

We stopped going here for a long time because the food was so bad but after the name change, we thought we'd try it once again. Went there on Feb 24, 2025 and had the Nachos. OMG, they were so bad. It was supposed to come with sour cream and salsa but we were charged $3.99 extra for sour cream. The amount of salsa was a tiny, tiny 2 oz portion so we had to order two more at a cost of $1.99 for each additional tiny 2oz portion. Our favourties had also been taken off the menu such as the dried ribs, pretzel and a few other items. They also stopped bringing in Reisling wine which was one of the main reason I used to go there. Too many other venues to go to that we're treated nicer than being served from the stressed floor manager. It's a shame .

BEWARE OF OVERBILLING!! - twice now we have been over billed. the first time they charged us double the drinks that we actually drank. and just this past Wednesday they billed us an extra order of fries and 2 extra baskets of wings! I'm trying to give the servers the benefit of the doubt and that it is just an honest mistake, but it seems very suspicious. has anyone else experienced this there?
the wings are tasty and the food prices are reasonable. but make sure to take note of what you have consumed and always check the bill before paying!
